Do You Think We'll Get an Artificer, Alchemist, or Rogue Archetype along with an Iconic Dhampir of that Archetype along with the Lamordia Expansion?

Which Class You Speculate Might Get a Archetype in the Upcoming Expansion into the Realm of Lamordia

I know its still far off, but curious what the people think............

Which Class do you think they'll make an archetype out of next for the expansion late this year or early next year with the Lamordia and Dhampir race coming?
If choose other, feel free to explain in the comments.! And leave comments as to speculations about what the class might be called or its features too, maybe some our ideas the Devs might see and implement .
I think they are still recovering from the fact they made an iconic with a non-free archetype and it bugged out even though everyone told them it would bug out

I have no pony in this race and am just here to chit chat.

Some kind of dhampir vampire hunter seems like a sure thing. The presence of vampires is a necessary prerequisite for dhampir to exist.

Science versus the supernatural is also a really fun story trope. Dracula versus Van Helsing is fundamental to our modern understanding of vampires. Lamordia will probably be a nuclear winter hell with mad scientists and vampire lords ruling the fantasy equivalent of fallout shelters. Mad scientists bring in the Isle of Dr. Moreau trope. Combine all 4 tropes and you get a nice little war with the vampire hunter / wandering ronin protagonist in the middle, fighting both sides to save the many victims of mad scientists and vampires.

A vampire hunter could go the Van Helsing route or the Blade / D route. Both really make sense. Would be kinda neat and a surprise if the expansion included both.

Some kind of Artificer seems a sure thing for a Van Helsing based character.

Fighter (Kensai) seems a sure thing for the Blade / D route. Maybe attach Occult Slayer from Barbarian?

You guys are much better at mixing this stuff up than me but those are my guesses.

THEMATICALLY I'd like something like a Rogue or Artificer archetype with:

Battle Engineer + Occult Slayer + Deepwood Stalker with Occult Slayer adjusted to work with ranged stuff a bit and Battle Engineer adjusted to work against undead instead of constructs, a bit less sturdy and more damage with Blessed Blades (and Bolts) in some shape or form as a class perk or something to steal from VKF t5; and if you have both the perk and vkf t5 you get some special bonuses. True mix & match to get the prime Van Helsing going or maybe use the oppourtunity to rework Mechanic to be more up to par with 2025 DDO. Or maybe they just need to go into VKF if they want that small blades fantasy.

Wracking Strike/Shot, but for undead. Instead of disabling constructs, disables undead. Caustic Shot that instead of aciding Constructs would inflict Light/Silver/Good damage or whatever on Undead, etc.

All about throwing daggers, crossbows, dualstyle crossbows, repeaters and daggers / kukris / shortswords / traps / contraptions. Interchangeably uses intelligence and dexterity.

The problem is that Occult Slayer is way too tank-leaning as a tree which is unfortunate for a build like this imo. I wish it was better offensively - and would probably need pretty considerable tweaks to work for a thing like this.

Practically speaking I think I want those things but I'd hate to see it end up as something that is spread too wide and in the end ends up as "meh". It's much harder to screw up a longsword/greatsword using vampire slayer along the lines of Vampire Hunter D -esque idea that Sophie mentioned that hits undead hard and moves around well while "marking" and stalking/hunting properties to singlemindedly destroy undead / evil enemies.

Looking over 5e Vampire Hunter, it could be used to make a Archetype for Rogue out of fairly easily enough and fast and easy seems to be the way to go these days..........

Maybe they'll slightly alter Shadar Kai chains to make a Castlevania esq Vampire Hunter class with whips instead of chains!

......
Thematically a case could be made for all of these.

- Artificer - Gollum maker, Reanimator
- Rogue - Grave Robber
- Alchemist - Mad Scientist, Reanimator
- Wizard - Reanimator, Necromancer (might be too similar to Pale Master)
- Bard, Barbarian - Vampire Hunter (variations of Swashbuckler, Occult Slayer)
- Cleric - Fallen/False Priest (might be too similar to Dark Apostate)

Pulled this off a site about Dhampir for 3.5e. I don't know how well it adds up, but I am always hoping for some new type of Rogue.

I personally would like to see a shadow based rogue. Perhaps assassin and pale master tree along with the new tree. Hide in the shadows and pop out with negative energy and daggers. Maybe, some kind of form that mixes Vampire and Wraith. Or, hear me out, a blood lust rage where you turn all vampire and have faster attack speed and movement. Allowing an option later to be able to cast spells while rages, within the new tree. By default, they could disable traps while rages, perhaps even get buffs for it.

I think that Crypt Breaker Alchemist archetype where they make Alkahest bombs that cause additional damage to constructs and corporeal undead would be fitting.

I mean it is basically Frankenstein world for D&D. It'd be cool to do a crazy mad scientist artificer that has a pet flesh golem instead of a dog. Maybe focused on electric and necromancy. They'd probably replace the other caster tree which already has a lot of electric and pet stuff in it.

Wizards make Golems, not Artificers.

I love the concept of the chain attack but would like to see something not tied to race. I find everything else about the shadarkais king of whatever.

I'm hoping for some sort of Flesh-crafting/Necro possibly Arty Archetype because that concept has existed since Necro IV with Mentau, and when better to add it than with this particular Ravenloft expansion.

Oooo, or maybe an artificer archtype that specializes in Hommonuculus creation as that is fitting with the theme of mad scientists and Lamordia.
