Does anyone play Kensai anymore?

I'm bored and going on "tour" through the classes. Reading builds so I can steal ideas because I can't be arsed to come up with an original thought anymore.

Anyone still Kensai or has Dragonlord just replaced it with everyone playing a fighter?

I didn't start playing this game until November 2009 and I sure as heck didn't post anything on the forums until 2010.

It was in game. Could’ve been 2010. It all runs together. Could’ve been last week.

I ran a kensai/SF/Monk greatsword life. If feels a lot worse than the same build with dlord

Ccurrently playing the kensai build I posted here. Only cause don't wanna spend a lesser heart on my PDK life

Kensei was inflated by the strength of razorclaw as a slightly more dps but glass cannon version of barbarians. Its a pretty terrible tree now that razorclaw is junk. It offers nothing but dps, and doesn't even give top tier dps anymore.

T5 Kensei is fun flavor to 12/8 with Monk (either way works: Monk 12 gets Abundant, Fighter 12 gets Power Surge etc). Centered Falchions IMO best, as this is mostly for leveling. Could also run like Greataxes for the memes.

Water stance can make you surprisingly tanky (esp w/hat), or Fire for DPS. Imbue and trance via Monk these days, which is nice.

Pretty easy to get really solid tactics on a Fighter, and Drifting Lotus is still my favorite epic strike (although it's far from the strongest, it feels great to hit - just really needs a shorter CD).
