Downtime Note: Update 77 on Thursday this week

We wanted to give people an update on our planning and timing: We ran into an issue overnight that has unfortunately impacted our ability to be certain about our deployment tomorrow. We should know tonight (in the next four hours or so) whether we will be able to deploy Update 77 on Thursday or not, and as soon as I know I will let you know. Otherwise, we'd expect a typical weekly restart for Thursday, and we'll reschedule Update 77.

A full numbered update typically means a new adventure pack/raid/etc or otherwise bigger change than iterative fixes etc yeah?

Cookie changes.

Really hoping the pendulum swings back towards making more cookies/cakes actually useful again.

(and maybe fixing those ice ones that haven't done anything at all for several years.)

one thing i would like to be fixed is the lute/fiddle animations when u play a sheet of music or use bard inspiration... sometimes the animation gets borked... its so so sad...

U77 is similar to other "December updates" of the past in that it will include a free dungeon, Festivult updates, and general bug fixes and improvements, this time focused on some adjustments to the Symphony of the Fey event.
Wow nice... a free dungeon is not expected so thank you.

Here's hoping Wisps become visible again with this update.

Seen a lot of new players in pugs walk straight into a bunch of those now-invisible pests and get completely shredded by them on account of not knowing to expect them.

Also, I'm seeing a weird issue where it's impossible to melee hit an enemy that's standing on a slightly elevated piece of terrain. Like we're talking 2 inches being treated as if they were waaay out of reach.

Anyway, looking forward to the new content.

Anything for airship lag?
I really appreciate the improvements Standing has made on so many fronts. I don’t know why lag suddenly hit the airships so badly, but it was unplayable for me last night for a little while after getting on the airship.

Thanks for all of the fixes! I haven’t seen any notes, yet, but I look forward to seeing them soon.

I also appreciate the events. I saw a few complaints but my response is sharing my thoughts, “I like having the option to do different things.”

It is odd, only on the airships and not every time, but when it is there it is really bad.
