As an alternate method, you can exit the airship by jumping off the upper deck into the ether.

Feather fall is strongly recommended.
I've tried this before during crazy lag times and ended up stuck in the water for 5 minutes when I decided to log and port to the Hall of heroes

Update: We've encountered a technical issue in our hotfix that prevents us from deploying Friday morning. We are instead going to still bounce the game worlds ahead of this weekend to try and provide some relief while we continue to work through the issues with our hotfix build. We will have more information on the new timing of a hotfix, and the game world restart will take place between 9am eastern and 1pm eastern Friday 2/27. We apologize for the inconvenience and will have more information as soon as we can.

The DDO game worlds will be unavailable on Friday, February 27th from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM Eastern (-5 GMT) to release Update 78.0.1. Release notes will be available on Friday. Thank you for your patience and we will see you back in the game soon!
yay, 3 downtimes in a row. If the servers craash on saturday we'll be nearing epic orchard levels!

It's good to see SSG using some caution and not rushing a [problematic] knee-jerk fix out.
Hopefully we will see this approach more often - keep up the good work!

Reset the mimic as a token of goodwill due to extra downtime?
I can actually answer that one because I also threw this out as an idea. Unfortunately, Sterling has a set track with a finite amount of resets due to how it works behind the scenes. So if we want to extend Sterling, it would be larger than just hitting a reset button and would take longer to deliver.

That being said, we are coming up with something extra to do to compensate for impacted play.

Good to hear, thanks.

This event is starting to feel a lot more like a natural 1 than the natural 20 that was advertised.

A choice of Mythic Dust and Reaper Dust would be nice :)

I think Sterling should be added to the game permanently
Me too, even if they change the items you can exchange (and presumably the cost!) too. I think they should've kept the year of the dragon going each year. Would've been minimal effort (just on the art team, but they did great work!) to come up with 12 more things. And then the 20th anniversary could've spread out stuff as well instead of cramming it all into a few weeks.

So, release notes?

Soon after they announced the "hotfix" and shutdown, Tolero stated the above. So, no hotfix means no release notes as nothing changed. Hopefully they have something for us today.

Cheers and Happy DDO'ing :)
