  • The casting time on Ki Bolt is reduced. Ki Bolt also gains "While you are centered, you can use your Wisdom modifier for damage. In addition, while you are centered, you gain +2 Ki each time you hit a creature. This stacks with all other sources of Ki generation"

According to Steelstar this is NOT working with ranged and he gave up getting it to work.
Why does the release notes still contain the false information indicating it does?

Sigh. Goodbye to a class that had something special to set it apart.

Yes, the combo system needed work. Yes, it could be annoying. But it was different from other classes. DDO has lost a little flavor, and is the poorer for it.

We'll live and it's not the end of the world. But I think it's a little sad, and it diminishes the game a little for me. Oh, well.

(and no, I don't give a pair of fetid dingo's kidneys about the power level before vs. now. The class lost its, well, je ne sais quoi)

I thought what I'd do was, I'd...
Make a bunch of high level alt accounts and grab the discover bonus from the djinn, then only log them on when I was ready to grab some loot.

Ahh good, let's fix a player-benefitting bug (e.g., the puzzles in "Thousand Teeth's Lair") that isn't very important, meanwhile there are plenty of bugs with MD loot that has been brought up for ages and not been fixed.

At least we'll be getting our 1% VIP discovery boost working tomorrow... (Assuming it's actually fixed of which we'll have no way of ever knowing)

Well, at least we have a confirmation that 3.5 years after releasing Saltmarsh one of the devs actually played this quest on live servers and discovered that people solve those puzzles the way that's not intended xD

Healing Shield did not make it to the Update? This is still on your very-soon-to-be radar yes?

A Topic of Discussion:
Last Preview, we had a note that read "Coming Soon: We are planning to add "Enemies in range of your Hand of Healing gain Healing Shield for 10 seconds." in addition to the above effect. Healing Shield: On a successful hit, any allies and the attacker will gain 1d2 HP. This is not present in this Preview."

I believe just adding the original healing shield (and dark monk debuff) as a strike when you take your level 3 philosophy would address this problem. (Obviously it would not lead to the finisher which is now in the Shintao Tree)

so why did you guys put out the second feedback? it doesn't feel like you really took any of the advice or change anything so, so why just save time next time and don't bother?
The illusion of listening is a powerful tool. It gives people hope, even if it's false hope, and hope is an even more powerful tool.

People with hope will be more likely to ignore or forgive bad things because they *hope* it will change soon even if the evidence right in front of them indicates otherwise.

If you read my posts you have already lost

By the time anything gets to the first preview 90% of it is already set in stone, the first preview is the only opportunity to get minor changes through feedback. Holding any hope beyond this is futile :)

I'm a bit sad with this update.
There's some hope in me, as I've been playing the Sacred Fist Paladins (definitely not Monks) but I do enjoy their variation a lot.
Hoping that the light and dark Monks retain some levels of their buff and debuff/attack abilities from the finishers incorporated in enhancements and feats.
But, much of what my old Monk guide existed for will no longer apply. I won't have time to create a new one at present.
Games can't stay completely the same, I know. And thanks to the devs for keeping the game going.

I hope in time you will be able to do that. Many moons ago, I found your guide and it helped quite a bit! Glad to see you here! :)

This XP bonus is worthless to me if you don't put chaosmancer back in the store, so thanks for nothing.

And don't spread misinformation that it's bugged, people who were quick enough to buy it the last time, also bought wild mage and are playing it.

I still can't get over the fact dragon disciple is a monk. I know we are loosely based on 3,5 but they are taking the piss now.
