Umm. OK, crafting bank has annoying sorting and stuff. But are you sure you want SSG to touch it? Right not, around 1% (number pulled out of my behind) of the time, stuff goes missing when you try to craft using it. The Lord of Blades knows how much would go poof if they touched it...Since you have time to fix harmless things like the "Thousand Teeth's Lair" puzzle, can you spare some time to create filters for the crafting bank? That bank is a giant black hole.
We can't even reverse the order of virtualization and have it show us the most recently deposited items first, let alone search for something there if you've forgotten the name or view all the augments of a color to see which ones we have!
They do say they don't balance the game for reaper... And it does show at times (looking at caster archetypes).Interesting that they didn't listen to the people that actually play this game, and instead choose to follow through with a melee/caster hybrid. We all know they didn't test this class out on even R1 legendary content. If they understood this game they would know why this class is DOA.
hey bud did not see you back in the forums! Welcome back! In what server are you mostly active—Ghallanda? I am on Cannith as always but have some alts here and there.I'm a bit sad with this update.
There's some hope in me, as I've been playing the Sacred Fist Paladins (definitely not Monks) but I do enjoy their variation a lot.
Hoping that the light and dark Monks retain some levels of their buff and debuff/attack abilities from the finishers incorporated in enhancements and feats.
But, much of what my old Monk guide existed for will no longer apply. I won't have time to create a new one at present.
Games can't stay completely the same, I know. And thanks to the devs for keeping the game going.
Like a beacon of hope in all its resplendent glory, ultimately to be tarnished by repeated disappointmentThe illusion of listening is a powerful tool. It gives people hope, even if it's false hope, and hope is an even more powerful tool.
People with hope will be more likely to ignore or forgive bad things because they *hope* it will change soon even if the evidence right in front of them indicates otherwise.
Trying to craft from the bank is pure madness, yes. You risk losing a lot of ingredients.Umm. OK, crafting bank has annoying sorting and stuff. But are you sure you want SSG to touch it? It is an awful interface, for sure. When I sometimes use to to transfer threads and raid runes.... meh, getting to the end is really, really annoying (if I am transferring enough different stuff that I can't remember what it's all called)...Trying to craft from the bank is pure madness, yes. But creating filters shouldn't be difficult. It's one of the most basic things in programming. So yes, I want filters in the crafting bak. The other day I emptied a huge bag in there by mistake and it took me almost an hour to fix the mess. Sometimes I forget what I have in there, and checking it isn't easy. It's a very clunky and slow interface.
The combo system was garbage that never should've been adopted in the first place.Sigh. Goodbye to a class that had something special to set it apart.
Yes, the combo system needed work. Yes, it could be annoying. But it was different from other classes. DDO has lost a little flavor, and is the poorer for it.
We'll live and it's not the end of the world. But I think it's a little sad, and it diminishes the game a little for me. Oh, well.
(and no, I don't give a pair of fetid dingo's kidneys about the power level before vs. now. The class lost its, well, je ne sais quoi)
I wonder if anyone will multiclass Monk, Dragon Disciple, and Sacred fist? Hmmm![]()

100% the warden setup is great; I love playing them in LOTRO. If they ever bring back a combo system to DDO, they just need to copy that code and setup. The combo system always wanted to be Warden from LOTRO (which is a good system) but was never going to be that fluid with DDO's inherent combat mechanics, let alone once almost all the finishers became grossly outdated
Next monk pass, they'll just make all the monk features auto-apply/auto-trigger... you won't even need to click a button. Oh, and are they going to eliminate the Alchemist combo system next? Sheesh. I'm so disgusted with this, I can't even.Sigh. Goodbye to a class that had something special to set it apart.

Heh, yeah, I guess alch is next. I mean, surely* you can't have classes that are different and require more thought than Minsc could muster, on a early morning while having a cold.Next monk pass, they'll just make all the monk features auto-apply/auto-trigger... you won't even need to click a button. A Monster Manual, what is it? A big book with monsters in it, but that's not important right now.Heh, yeah, I guess alch is next. I mean, surely* you can't have classes that are different and require more thought than Minsc could muster, on a early morning while having a cold.
* And don't call me Shirley
