Im not sure who this is a balance for....hardcore maybe. I see little that will change the endgame meta, maybe a few QoL changes but definitely not anything to change the status quo very much, but I may be wrong. Vanguard is still meh with the changes. Tempest wasn't even looked at and is far inferior to DL or Barb. Bows will still lag behind inqui/BE/Shuri. C6 Vistani handwraps still seems like a meme build, I think I've ran into one of them on Thrane so no big loss there. Casters still suck in high reapers...esp warlocks. The changes made for locks free up a few AP but do Zero to improve their endgame viability. All of the finesse/Dex stuff is cute but DEX << STR for melee DPS for a number of reasons, not least of which is no to hit Dex Trance and AC in MD and Lamo has gotten a little silly...I see quite a few grazing hits with 200 ish to hit and a full completionist toon without precision or elfness. Nobody asked for trap fixes in mechanic, yet still they have no fusillade equivalent and no to hit Int or Dex Trance. QQ is still BiS melee epic strike for 90+% of builds.

welp, Find me in the alps, this nerf my great crossbow build, i was making great use of the vorpal on a 19-20 and +2(w), i was getting +1 multiplier from Kensei instead, now i lose all this for a mere +1 multiplier

So you guys are really going implement this BS

Death Ward no longer completely negates negative energy damage from inflict/necro spell damage, but reduces it by 50%. This is flagged with the Shield trait, much like Fire Shield/Energy Shield is for Fire damage.
What the hell?

This needs to be addressed by the Devs... ***?

>there can be 8 casters blasting negative spells on a player at once, .. ''1/2 damage'' may as well be ''NO'' protection?
we'll see shortly (gets Neg energy Build equipment ready) glad im at a TR point

I'm about to do the Wheloon chain, epic version. That should royally suck for me now.

I'm very disappointed with the change to Deathward. You're destroying one of the few decent spells to do absolutely nothing for negative casters. No, I'm not changing my mantle to negative. Negative absolutely sucks; it makes you useless against the millions of constructs in this game (you just created a raid where all the trash is constructs, and it's not the first time, lol lol), and half damage against Deathward doesn't help a damn thing. No, my PM doesn't rejoice. My PM is angry with you. Give me a dispel for Deathward that works. I'm a wizard; I should know how to dispel. Dispelling is an essential job for casters in PnP. Your change is bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad.

You still haven't figured out that this isn't 5ed, it's DDO. By giving xbows the default DEX, you're destroying INT builds, which are more expensive because they need an extra feat (Insightful Reflex). I see you learned absolutely nothing from the assassin, although at least the assassin made more sense. The point of DDO is that artificers and mechanics are intelligent people. But of course, you're the same team that destroyed hybrids and made it impossible for artificers to use their spells offensively, so everyone's multiclassing to maximize damage.

Balance? SSG, you don't know the meaning of that word.

By the way, Vanessa butterfly wings? God, that looks terrible with wild-themed clothing. At least the hardcore ones were nicer.
I too thought it was really odd that they gave many of the melee weapons options for Dex and Str/Dex but didn't give crossbows (i.e. a weapon popular with the Int classes/builds) a default option for Int or better yet, Dex/Int. Crossbows are a "simple" weapon. They should be able to be used effectively by dexterous OR intelligent users.

But I gave up trying to make sense of the changes the devs make in the name of "balance" long ago. Their lack of consistency and an understanding of the minutiae of their own game are the only things they're ever consistent about.
