DPS test

SpartanKiller13

Why do I have 411 .ddocp files
1:20 R4 Scorp (1:28 first, but 1:20 and 1:19 = learned stuff better lol)
~2:30 R1 Giant, solo (self-healing, knockback, a lil' lag, and no SA, but 2/3 around there is good enough for me)

15/5 Paladin/DLord, Str HOrc, THF w/Falchion. ~50% bonus helpless damage about 80% of the time for Scorp.
I had the Str set already and wanted to try SWF longswords, but swapped at cap b/c I hated F&F.
Fury > LD > SD, DL > VKF > Ravager for trees.

Not what I'd call great melee DPS, but it's what I have on-hand and more benchmarks will help this project :)

Some data from chars with ~75 reaper, epic-completionist, a few heroics, and no racials. They all have 210k SXP. All but the HC8 char have S8 tomes. None have much mythic or reaper bonus gear (random bits here and there).

1:47shiradi throwerShiradi:33 SD:23 FotW:11
2:11DL/haxen helplessLD:34 FOTW:27 SD:6
2:53INQ on SFShiradi:12 DC:33 Fate:21 (TR build, no epic moment)
4:09INQ on PM/EKShiradi:35 Macro:16 Primal:14, HC8 1st-life in DC gear, no tomes, no reaper
5:19DRoll Sticky monkFOTW:35 SD:16 DC:16 (v.old build/gear .. from pre-ED pass)
7:15DRoll TankUS:34 FOTW:24 SD:9 (for scream+rage heal + quick/cutter AE salt)
9:52DRoll TankUS:34 SD:24 FOTW:9 (for meld + darkness+shadowloss debuffs)

I was surprised the debuffs from SD didn't beat FOTW for the tank. Never taken the time to watch debuffs while live tanking, but LOTS of time here; shadowloss has a 5m duration that is refreshed on reapplication. Both debuffs had 100% uptime. Darkness is indeed 3 stacks @ 12s, but I doubt it's vorpal-only. It refreshed often, rarely dipped below 10s duration -- felt like "on crit" but not on real confirmed crits, just crit-rolls.

045 implement (dino bone weapon)
Curious about this one. How do you get the old 3xEnhance version of implement on a dino weapon? These days, implement = ML.

Unless it's perhaps one of the enhancement trees that didn't get updated. EK-granted implement bonus still 3x?

I logged in and checked what it was, but in any case it would only be -14 with the current wiki wording

26s on shuri, no vuln or ooze. the rotation wasnt optimal but gives you an idea of how 21s is possible. dps starts at 22s, ends at 48
Looks like 17x3x5 HW:T5 Shiradi:T5 SD:T3 Fate:T3 in Wind Stance. Curious, is Wind for the 4+DEX or does it perhaps also include a doubleshot bonus now (iirc, it used to be only doublestrike)? Waaay back when I ran shuri I was always in Ocean for the passive ki. Hmm, also wonder if Sun's 19-20+1 works on shuriken. If it does, it might be a little more DPS.

We talk before about this, remember? 8)
Wind stance provide +15 Throwing Alacrity, +4 DEX mean also +8DS, +2 to Damage (+4 with HW Trance) and better synergy with Pinnacle for damage. Personally, i usual use Water stance for better defense, Ki is not more problem with Orchid Blossom. Fire stance provide more damage, with more point in GMoF spended (The Flickering Flame), 19-20 +1 crit multiplicator works for shurikens.

As enhancement, it shouldn't stack. Last I checked, ROF hard-cap could be reached with whirling wrists & zero alacrity. Just logged my thrower to make sure and it's still pretty close:
  • 76/m with 20% & no whirling
  • 82/m with whirling & no gear
  • 86/m with whirling + 20%
I don't have a shuriken monk to test, but using my sticky monk, it showed that Wind stance adds it's melee alacrity to the front-side bonus (on the character panel) and does not stack with melee alacrity from gear, but it's ranged alacrity adds to the detail ranged panel and stacks with whirling. Gear ranged alacrity adds to the front panel and from quick check, front & back panel numbers stack (didn't check how they stack, but adding to both gives higher ROF than either alone).

Anyway, another broken tooltip -- thanks for catching it here. DDO is nuttier than a barrel of squirrels.

Those numbers from my thrower should be looked at with suspicion, btw. I just noticed some really weird things with it's front & back panel ranged alacrity. It's showing an 20% ranged alacrity on the front side even naked. The VKF tree is the only thing that should be adding ranged alacrity to it. Tried ripping that out, which (very oddly) reduced back detail ranged alacrity from 51% to 30%, but front ranged alacrity stayed at 20%. Putting VKF back increased back-side to 51% again. VKF should only be adding 5% from C3.

I think this is one of those weird bugs from the giant ED pass a couple years ago. All my chars were bugged in various ways from that. All had leftover "sticky" things from the old deleted EDs. The ones I've TR'd clean up nicely and look normal again, but I haven't been playing enough to do real cache-making TRs on all of them.
