For the first question: only enhancements and Epic Destinies.Ok so other then these 4 items listed on the wiki and the dragonborn enhancement tree is there anyway to increase dragon breath DC's?? And why the hell is there only 4 items when there's 12398702397490 for Spell DC's....
Asking for a friend...
Dragon Breath spells use Dragon Breath DC boosts AND DC boosts from the type of spell it is. So, for example, Red Dragon Breath is both a Breath Weapon spell AND an Evocation spell, and benefits from both Evocation Spell DC boosting items AND Breath Weapon DC boosting items.Ok so other then these 4 items listed on the wiki and the dragonborn enhancement tree is there anyway to increase dragon breath DC's?? First they should fix banishment and dismissal, which still don't work in many parts of the game, like Devil's gambit (although similar spells from other classes like the alchemist do work there)because there is very few dragon breaths in game that could benefit (same applies to abjuration spells but we get abjuration every expansion...)
I probably should have added a little bit more to my original post. So with the release of Dragon lord we got the new skill dragon roar. It uses breath weapon dc's as well as str/cha mod, stun dcs. So other then that how would you add onto it? Seems weird that they made breath weapon dcs part of the calculation when theres only 4 items that give it.Dragon Breath spells use Dragon Breath DC boosts AND DC boosts from the type of spell it is. What other enhancement/destiny trees have breath weapon dcs besides dragonborn racial tree? Im either blind and not seeing them on the wiki or my google foo is lackingFor the first question: only enhancements and Epic Destinies
That's normally how DC calculations work - you have a base amount, an associated ability score or series of ability scores, and then a bonus DC amount (in this case, Stunning AND Breath Weapon DCs, versus just Stunning DCs for abilities like Stunning Blow). The Breath Weapon DCs do not replace any portion of DC calculation, they are an additional vector to further improve the DC of the ability in question. So, bringing it all together, to increase the DC of Dragon's Roar, you'll need to find a way to increase either your Strength, Charisma, Stunning DC bonuses, or Breath Weapon DC bonuses.I probably should have added a little bit more to my original post. Exactly what I was asking how and where can I find Breath Weapon DCs other than those 4 pieces of gear and the Dragonborn Racial enhancement tree.
IMO, Breath Weapon and Rune Arm DCs are both rare enough on Gear, and niche in their usage, that they should be combined.More Breath Weapon DCs items would be helpful. And an augment. Add something that increases breath damage and breath special effects by a %%% ?
So, you already have base DC + Stunning bonuses + Aura bonuses + Ability mod bonuses. It's not like you REALLY need to maximize breath weapon dc's to make the ability work as even just base DC + Stunning Bonuses + Ability Mod + Aura Bonuses is plenty.Exactly what I was asking how and where can I find Breath Weapon DCs other than those 4 pieces of gear and the Dragonborn Racial enhancement tree.
