You say this like Cower is new -- it's not. Y'all haven't been paying attention to Consecration with the Cower upgrade in Divine Crusader. Been using it for years with a 130+ Sunder DC to CC R10 mobs.

It's always fun when people discover things that have been in the game for ages. There's so many good toys that most folks rarely touch because they get used to running what they're used to and don't branch out into other goodies.

A lvl 20 first life without skill tomes or a sentient weapon can also AoE instakill r10 mobs. A level 20 uberpletionist will be close to no-fail to AoE instakill legendary R10.

Granted I'm an uber completionist, but my last life of Dragonlord, these were my DCs at 32.

I wasn't trying really hard to raise them though I did have fighter feats for it. (I didn't have a sunder DC item on as I didn't really see the point)
Trip sadly didn't work even at 150.

When I was leveling I was finding it tricky to get the roar to land. Seems like it goes back decently far away but maybe narrow, and seems to miss mobs most when they are quite close (maybe cone issue). Could be that my DCs were not landing, but not sure and did not document the numbers. I was loading up any tactics or stun enhancements I could and took the two biggest tactics feats. At endgame, still finding it does not completely lock down a room like some people describe but mostly working. Targeting-wise, I'm finding I need to hit escape so I'm not targeting anything or targeting myself to most reliably land it. I'm still assuming its a literal cone as the description says.

In my experience I've found that the cone is quite wide and can actually cover a good 150-170 degrees in front of you if you land it properly. this being said, I do not enjoy that the mechanic requires a target to function. You may be getting the "You are not facing your target" error, and it eats your roar charge and does absolutely nothing.

Visage was being blocked by cracks in the floor. You have to jump cast to land it consistently. It is a feet level AoE. Roar may be the same way.

Visage is also old school turn undead based instant kill, where if a mob saves it becomes immune to subsequent visage.

Previous was on tactics, but once you realize you can get legendary r10 viable dcs at lv20 on Dlord for both instakill and CC the class "clicks,"

I simply cannot get over 90 dc roar at cap as a non-fighter, xbow user.

I had a lot of success with a fighter waaaaay over 90 at cap, but this is an xbow user with heavy use of cc with a dc of 90. I want to know if this idea has to get chucked, or if it should be effective up to rX.

its will so its a bit more forgiving but 90 Will is basically r1 at best tbh
Id need a bit more info about your build maybe we can bump it up to 105 depending on the quest packs etc it might be viable ish in r6

Its an arti. 16 stun aug, +7 insightful stun aug, dlord 1-4 tactics (+4), falconry +11, reaper tactics 1-3 (3), LD +3, Instinct +3, Exiled Tactica +3 profane, Scion +4, str +20 (+14 aug +5 aug, base 10, 51 str at cap).

5 levels of dlord.

There is absolutely no where else I can get tactics.

Is this a wis based arti? Why not harper trance? Looks like you're missing quality tactics, tactics EPL, tactician feats, fighter PL, GMOF t1, breath weapon focuses, etc. Probably don't want to get all of those, but there's a lot there potentially.

Hm, I have all of that. In past lives I have ancient tactics x3, dlord x2, which adds +8. I have room for hurricane insignia which tacks on +3 also. This gets me to 103 dc.

Unfortunately I don't have any feats to spare to pick up tactical feats. 105 is a lot better than 90!
