Dwarf with Dwarven Waraxe and Shield - SWF or THF better?

Vanguard works with any shield including bucklers. You need a buckler if you're using Swashbuckler's Skirmisher enhancement. Bard + fighter has fallen out of favor vs bard + Dragonlord; but the former is still viable especially if you want to use the Vanguard tree.

I was planning pure fighter for one life. Maybe Bard DL and something else for another.

Cheers.

The defense are so much better with other shields although. Tower Shield or Large, but you arent gonna buiild much for dodge either. Heavy Armor Champion and the extra defense from tower shield really make up for this. I find it very hard to add the MDB need to make dodge more meanignful.

End game for sure its large or tower but for levelling I only have bucklers with guardbreaking so that is what I go with :)

Vanguard is finally getting critical range and multiplier bonuses so you don't need to go deep into Kensei for those bonuses. Also Morningstar and Warhammer are becoming hand and a half weapons; although if they don't also buff bastard sword and dwarven waraxe by e.g. adding them to Knights Training feat, it will be a "reverse nerf" to those weapons. Otherwise why use anything besides a Warhammer on a S&B toon if it has superior critical threat range and full Strikethrough?

Its a repeat of Khopesh where it will just disappear from the game, unless they do something.

Also, mornintstar and not heavy mace Im not sure makes sense.

Warhammer at least is a martial weapon.
