The best is they are so Handsome or Beautiful. I'm on my 2nd life Eladrin and loving it. the best is I didn't really need healing much if at all

Highly disagree! As someone with 3 racial points (at the time), the low hanging fruits and general bonuses they get were great.
  • Only need 3 points for auto-spot vs 6 in normal elf.
  • +1 Ability score of your choice (toggle)
  • A dash to help skip places you normally couldn't in low-level quests.
    • Thought this was so good: knocked out a quick Chaosmancer life afterwards for a use of dash per q with any subsequent lives.
My 3 Eladrin lives were EK Wizard, 2H Scimi Dark Hunter and Inquis Ranger/Blightcaster/Rogue - which were all fun.

With many racial points, having Vigor as a SLA would be awesome on any non-caster - and the temporary bonus from dashing are INSANE. Did wish had more points to play with to get the sneak die on dash for my Dark hunter build.

Forced to run 3 lives of this hot garbage race in order to maintain Racial Completionist...

In my opinion, The racial tree and core abilities are aabsolute trash, and easily the worst out of any race for melee/caster/ whatever..

anybody else feel the same?
completely disagree- find it very versatile and the dodge bonus is great - I was even using +9 tactics dc for little investment for a while. If you have 3 Chaosmancer pls then 8 uses is pretty boss. I've even used free vigour on a spellcaster with the metamagics and its great.

This is the thing about ddo... it depends on the build. People were saying Drow is the worst, but if you are doing a shuriken build its the way to go in my opinion. This also has to do with the type of player - are you unsatisfied if you're not the most powerful meta build? OK - that doesn't mean things are trash. It might mean you're not creative enough to work with the tools given you.

Yeah, cry lemon or make lemonade works for most DDO changes. Nerfs become buffs if you're creative. That's what happened with the last INQ "nerf"; players even warned the devs and suggested multiple ways to make a real and successful nerf, too (Lam thread, before it was released).

BTW, I think WF/BF make a MUCH better shuri base race: 15 MP/RP permits taking the reconstruction feat or BF can grab it in the tree. Monk doesn't care about B/WF's huge ugly MDB issues. This gives it useful immunities and a handy self-heal, which is one of the major issues with shuri builds -- gives more flex on epic tree choices, particularly permitting SD for debuffs and FS for DPS in addition to the mandatory Shiradi.

The only thing B/WF are missing is variety on body types. Love to see gnome/halfling sized WF, female, lizard, and other creative models. They really missed a chance there to reuse other existing models with mech-reskins.
