No, I'm still using repeater. However, I have tweaked my enhancements again. I'll try to post those later.

I'm still working on getting gear for Inquisitive to try out. If I like it, I will post my gear set and enhancements for that too.

How many runs of voices did it take for u to get artifact ring? I’ve done some light heartedly but I haven’t even seen one drop across all the groups haha.

I ransacked it on 3 toons with re-rolls for over a month. So, around 400 chests unfortunately. Every opened chest a cherished, loving reminder that the developers hate me.

There are still two other gear sets in there that will work great for anyone struggling to get the artifact ring or any of the raid pieces.

I'm trying to decide on my Arti build at level 34 and I am studying your build for reference. My dilemma is whether I should go pure Ranged or Hybrid Ranged with DCs for CC like from Macrotechnic & Burst of Glacial Wrath.

In this build, the only CC AOE ability is Thunder Struck Weapon & then passively from Nerve Venom?
Is this enough to deal with packs of mobs to solo R10?

Btw, are you taking Stay Good for the Blind CC? Is this more valuable than the added DPS from Fatesinger?

Shattered Defenses is also an AOE attack. You could also take Shoot First in Inquis for a third AOE attack, and I find these sufficient. Netting high enough DCs in R10s for spells to matter is difficult and reduces damage too much for my tastes.

As for Stay Good, I was using it for R10s yes, but I run Stay Loud typically cause I'm just raiding on that character right now.

Hey everyone,

After several months running as an Inquisitive, I’ve finally returned to my roots as a repeater focused Warforged Artificer. The Cyborg build has been updated as a result.

What’s New in the Update (U73):
  • Detailed gear list to match what I’m currently using
  • Tweaked feat lineup
  • Updated enhancements and destinies
  • In-progress stat recalculations
This build continues to thrive in Reaper 10 and is a blast to play. Reject the Inquisitive hive mind and add an extra plink to your crossbows. Your friends will love you for it.

As always, feedback is welcome. If you see room for optimization or just have a different approach you’d like to share, I’d love to hear it. None of us is as smart as all of us.

Very nice. What are your thoughts on the various ranged options, such as thrower, repeater, inquisitive, bow, etc? Lately, I've been thinking about how the ranged power and doubleshot either exceeds bow or is comparable, and with the "to hit" required makes any kind of special attack from any one ranged style unreliable (and as such ranged "styles" cannot be balanced around exclusive to style special attacks). Thus, heavy repeater would be the clear choice.

Put another way, what would make you give up the heavy repeater and switch to any of the different ranged styles?

For some context, I've played Artificer repeater for years, long before they were considered good DPS. So my answer to your question is simply an increased interest in playing another playstyle, not buffing or nerfing other ranged styles.

Inquisitive is definitely the highest ranged DPS at the moment by a good margin, but an updated thrower like my Indiana Thrown build or bow build like Ying's would still be viable. Who knows, I might revisit my thrower one day.

I built a first life version of this with 72 destiny points, opting for Devil's Infernal Details and Sora Kell/Perfected Wrath set bonuses. I'm pleasantly surprised with it. Ran it through Saltmarsh R10 and it faired pretty well. R1 DOV/TON are not a problem.

No. The feats haven't changed. With only 72 destiny points:

35 Shiradi - just like Epic's build
23 Shadowdancer - just like Epic's build
14 Fatesinger - Core 3, Master the Acoustics 3, and 1 point into Tune of the Weave for MRR (I have 99 which is awesome for a first lifer).

You can use the same gear that Epic has in his guide. I went a little different because the account I made it on doesn't have any set augments available, and only has ultimate bundles for MD and Fey.

Neck - Storna's Pendant (for Profane stats)
Head - University Mage's Hate for Potency
Eyes - Goggles of the Archer for Doubleshot and Greater Marksmanship
Trinket - Periapt of Strength for Insightful and Quality Seeker
Chest - University Spellshield for MRR, Fort, INS Reflex and Spell Saves (the best option for 3pc Devils' Infernal Dance)
Back - University Archer's Cloak for Q Deadly and Insightful Doubleshot
Wrist - Rocard, Champion's Cuffs for INT 15, Improved Deception and it's my minor artifact
Waist - Ophael's Cincture for Quality INT 3, Deception 12 and Insightful Deception 6
Ring 1+2 - Katra's Razor Wit for set bonus
Gloves - Maeyna's for set bonus
Feet - Greaves of Seasons' Warding for the elemental absorb (dots and missile attacks are what you're the most concerned with as a ranged)
Main - Undying Heavy Repeating Crossbow with LGS Ooze
Offhand - Dino Runearm with Meltfang, Sparkscale, Fragment of Extraplanar Shadow, Goldfang
Quiver - Epic Purifying for blunt and burning ammo

Sits at 1974 HP (w/ 8 CON tome), 175 PRR and 99 MRR with 19% Dodge and Evasion with a Reflex 83 outside of reaper.
