Not really. After you get the gist where the Library, Private Quarters and Sculpture Hall are, you can do the Ballroom + optionals pretty quick.

I can do things others can't...
If you read the posts prior to the change, apparently players hated the graphical slowdown even more. So there's no winning in this. Some hate old, some hate new.

Personally, I always disliked that quest and I almost always skip it during my epic leveling (and the whole house P chain). I mean, the whole cutscene at the end if you do all the optionals is fun, but it gets old fast.

So I don't care.

I think the new quest is horrible. The old one was better. It still took too long to finish, but it was acceptable. The new quest takes FAR longer to finish. I didn't care for that adventure pack prior to this change, now I REALLY hate it.

Never noticed any "graphical slowdown" in old partycrashers. What are people referring to?*

*not saying there wasn't any, but I never noticed/it didn't affect me.
At some point they added dynamic reflections of water in game generally or something silly like that and it dropped the framerate when you got to the big fountain in the center. Or something like that at least.

The layout of the new ballroom is just terrible. It didn't need to be cut into chunks, just made a bit smaller. From a universe standpoint, it makes no sense that the grand gala would be in 4 disparate barely connected rooms with a maze of hallways going between them.

It's for separating the 1% of the 1%. Kind of like the secret forum here, not everyone gets to see it.

They should have just shut off the fountain and had a couple of animated workers fussing with it—throw in a frustrated House P agent pushing them on.
Don't suggest SSG to use logic in fixing problems. They can't use the excuse "We have no money" if they solve problems with 2 cp instead of 2 pp. Obviously the person (or people) who solved the Black Loch problem no longer work there.
