Everyone hates the new Partycrashers

If you read the posts prior to the change, apparently players hated the graphical slowdown even more. So there's no winning in this. Some hate old, some hate new.

I like they fixed the FPS drop around the water fountain. I'm not a fan of the updated layout.

I prefer the new version now.
Took me a few runs to memorize the new positions. A lot less waiting on cyan to walk makes it faster now.

It's not like you need to timetravel through an elvish mansion in this one...

What brings strong discomfort is that someone finally memorised/learned the old PC quest, where is where, whos where, what to do when, etc....SSG just changes everything and lots of players (especially who loves stability and routine) just doesnt want to relearn something which is even more confusing. The new version did not make orientation in PC more simple. It did the exact opposite.

The only quest I play in that pack is the Snitch. I havent played Partycrashers OR the anniversary event in ages. The anniversary event is just way too repetitve to get mats to be worth the time. Theres just too much more content now to be worth playing this whole pack for me.

I did the chain for the Top Hat and Phiarlan Mirror Cloak.

Sadly, they subsequently nerfed the Top Hat (years ago, now), so now (as far I as know) the Cloak is the only groovy item in the end rewards.

"The Big Top" originally had an 'enhancement' bonus to UMD which was, at the time, unique in the game. They changed it to the standard 'competence' bonus (which is now commonplace). At the time, bonuses to UMD on gear were quite rare.

Party Crashers has always been a quest i zerg through to the end and skip optionals on. the changes made it faster for me so im not sure about why some people think its slower ? maybe the first run after the changes was slower while i figured out the layout of the ball room, but since the NPC just teleports to the last rooms door now it takes like half the time to complete it

I loved the old one. It was a great example for either do the short fast version or go sniff all the flowers

On Fridays at Four today, Tolero said the existing Anniversary Party quest based on Partycrashers will be available, along with the all new Anniversary Party quest, so at least this year you’ll have a choice what version to run and still earn favors (and loot from the new quest).
