Everyone's happy about the new mount!

Me too.

Are we finally mature enough to get rid of the lame supress script now or are we still catering to the five crybabies who don't know how to press "next" or "last" on their keyboard?

I assume the op is talking about the script to force dismount in taverns. (And using the next prev keys to tab and select the bartender).

If so, I would say that script is more important than ever considering how large these chonkos are and how easy it is to fill a room. Not to mention all the clipping that is occurring trying to get these behemoths into smaller rooms. I also don't know why people who like the force dismount in bars are crybabies any more than the people who cant accept being dismounted for a few minutes but i guess name calling is one way to make ones point.

( In fact with the size of Chonko I would be fine with the adding the script to other indoor spaces such as bankers and shops as some people have requested. I am such a crybaby. )

The script is weird. It is implemented in many places you think would be fine. But it's perfectly fine to ride into the the Catacombs, the Temple of the Sovereign Host, and Gateway to Khyber (despite the DM stating you'll have to continue on foot).

Personally, I'm fine with most implementation as it is. But I personally would swap a few, disallowing mounts in all churches and quests while allowing them in all wilderness areas, even indoors ones.

This is a bit of a tangent by Blunt, but why should mounts be disallowed in quests?

Honestly, I feel like mounts should be allowed in most if not all quests but force dismount on some low tier of alert (green or yellow). There's no good reason as to why we can't summon our magical mount inside a forest quest with long treks of monsterless space. It is in fact funnier to take in the environment when mounted.

I wouldn't say everyone. I don't like the last two mounts very much at all. I think DDO needs to continue to stay close to it's orginal art and keep the art as close to its realism as it always has been.
  • Drack - Is massive and looks very cartoonish
  • Dragon - Looks like a crocodile with short wings similar to something from "How to Train Your Dragon"
I'll never use either one and I've already noticed almost no Drack's anywhere beyond the initial splash. Most players want to ride something a bit more realistic looking. SSG could have still made a grounded dragon that looked a bit more realistic.

I wouldn't say everyone. ....

The "everyone" was just clickbait so people would read the continued smack-talk about suppressed mounts.

Luv ya, Km, but...

Yeah, in general people did not enjoy this mount for anything other than trolling/cope. It's free, so its hard to complain, but the sentiment was very low.

I took it out for a spin yesterday and was not impressed. It will remain in the stable. I'll admit I was expecting a more juvenile Game of Thrones type (only a Dragon instead of a Wyvern) and not a cartoonish How to Train Your Dragon type. What's with the two tails? Maybe resize it down to Panthor.

While I appreciate the "free" mount. It is just like the Drake - permanently in the stable.

In all fairness I made an assumption most people liked it judging from how happy everyone* is to post dance videos of them in the servers. I could be wrong assumption for sure. I personally think it's weird haha

* Everyone=seems like a lot?

Edit: As our lady and saviour says, "No. I will never stop fighting their tyranny".

When you title a post "Everyone's happy about..." You have already made a mistake. If you do not realize that...

To think that you speak for Everyone will not win you any support. Maybe try something like 'Many people' (assuming that they are people and not bots) or 'a lot of people'.

You do not speak for ME or many others I know. I personally hate the the new mount but I will not decry those who like it. It's FREE: take it or not, use it or not.
