I've worked with software elevations (different industry), and even if you test the new content thoroughly, something weird always crops up. And time runs long as people scramble to diagnose the problem, try to come up with a fix, and make determinations about if it can be fixed, if it can't, if it can be bypassed, etc. Hugely stressful time for the devs and everyone involved. Cut em a bit of slack, and cross your fingers that things go to plan. And if things get weird, cross your fingers and hope they get cleared up swiftly. As much as you're annoyed you can't play the game, there are a lot of people on their end who can't go home and get dinner and see their families until this is all fixed. Take a breath, go watch a few extra episodes of South Park, or whatever, and the game will be back.

I said it yesterday: you’re taking away my motivation. First I had to say goodbye to my guild and my American friends, then I found out someone took my character’s name, I went through all the trouble to transfer my character, lost time… and having lag again!!!

Communication is essential, with your spouse, with your kids.........and especially with your customers.
A lack of communication between any of them leads to mistrust, warranted or not, it doesn't matter if anything foul actually transpired, it still creates issues that could have been avoided.
You could argue that people who do not pay for access to the game should have no expectation to communication............. but I am here to tell you that people who have access to my bank account and have had access to it for well over a decade, should at least consider me important enough to communicate with

That dude is so deadset on being the biggest fanboi on the forums that he embarrasses himself regularly........Maybe the thing to do is tell him he is correct and give the people on the server he plays on the gift of not having him there for 3 hours

i mean, I'm in denver and didn't catch the time zone at first. but on a side note I am the center of my own universe. I once got a title from a developer while testing on EQ 2 many years ago 'king of my own world' I never felt so seen as that moment.

Since VIPs don't get content that has been around for nearly 10 years or longer, its not outrageous to expect some kind of actual value for our money. A once a year Ottos box at least says we give a tiny crap and thanks for keeping the lights on

I agree, they could do a lot to keep customer satisfaction up and give us that code again to unlock quest packs and expansions up to the current 3, I'd love to boost 2 more accounts so i can 4 box and see the whole game with a full party. maybe put it up for 24 hours and if you get it you get if you don't you don't. include the additional slots, artificer/warforged codes as well and make it a package, a way to say thanks for the patience and continued support of DDO

man, I gotta say this game is full of mysteries to me.... On one hand i've met some of the nicest, good natured people in game, on the other hand, i've never seen such a toxic environment as here on the forums, the SAME people who connect and enjoy the game as I do. and it's been like that for almost 20 years! I guess life is full of ironies....
The lack of content did not really bother me until I ran with characters who have items from the paid content.
The weapons, items, augments and tokens are absurd in how powerful they are and can get.
Just proves to me that this is yet another pay-to-win game.
