Other than that, there are other good sources of epic gear - upgraded Demon Sands gear, upgraded Red Fens gear are all good - as are Borderlands gear - if you have access to those. Farming some of these out while at lvl 20 might not be a bad idea.

Doing Chronoscope with some folks and getting a Gem of Many Facets => Upgrade to Epic => Reroll it as many times as you need to hit Windlasher / Raven's Eye / Vulkoor's Might / whatever you need that fits your other gear you've found - is also a big help in low Epics.

I've been trying to do borderlands / red fans to jump start my epic journey but it is giving me some grief, have to go all the way back to hard to even have a chance, its rough. Haven't even looked into chronoscope, not sure if I ever even heard of it.

My Current build using a shadowblade.
I have access to an epic elyd too.
although I'm not sure if I should use that even though I could add either a 6d6 sonic gem into it or a 111 sonic spell power gem, not sure which one would be better either way since it is unclear how much spellpower reall scales the imbues
I've been also been told about the mutineers weapon that I can pick up around 24 even though my shadowblade gets stronger at 25 again.

Since you were asking about Battle Mages on your stream i would suggest Favored Soul.

Favored Soul is great at healing and an excellent Battle Mage. You get Wisdom or Charisma to hit and damage with your deity favored weapon at level 2. The higher of Wisdom or Charisma is used for your SP pool.

When taking level 7 you choose between increased HP (Stout of Heart +4 HP in Heroics and +6 in Epics) per level or increased SP (Purity of Heart 20 Maximum Spell Points per level of Favored Soul, as well as an additional 30 Spell Points per Epic Level ).

War Soul enhancement tree gives you an appropriate Trance, Haste Boost and 15% Double Strike. Tier 5 gives +1 crit multiplier at level 12 and crit threat in core 5 at level 18.

Beacon of Hope is a very capable Healer enhancement tree as you can see.

I did considering FVS/CLR but I kept being told that the war tree was kind of bad compared to alternatives as it was rather dated and needed an update?!

It has better DPS potential than a Cleric. It heals extremely well with a large SP pool. Lots of Heal Amp and Positive Spell power. Very survivable character with decent DPS.

Druid is probably the best DPS with healing ability but doesnt really have the battle mage vibe.

I was thinking about making a snow wolf that can cast spells like ice storm while fighthing inside of it, seemed kind of like a cool idea. pun intended. I don't really *need* healing, I just want to be able to sustain well enough. With my EK it was with death aura that made me very lazy about it after all

also Single weapon fighters LOVE Vistani tree. If you have not unlocked that, then maybe Bear with the Bear Choice :)

Lv 24 now, trying to figure out what to do next while also farming the mutineers blade that came recommended as a weapon for my build.

Level 26+ now, Not sure what to do next or what to pick up as I try to hit 30 and get ready for my very first Epic Rez!
