Bards are fast characters when they get to the later levels. The buff to movement speed from Swashbuckler stacks with other sources such as a 30% movement augment Topaz of Striding, Expeditious Retreat spell or Anger's Step boots from the quest Sacrifices at Korthos Island. If you arent using the spell Expeditious Retreat then you could quickly farm up a few pairs of Anger's Step boots to speed up your journey a lot.

On a character without expeditious retreat i use the angers step boots until level 8 when i switch to the topaz of striding.

Yeah, I suspect I will be moving faster than ever. Although speed is not the problem, dying is! :p

Bards can be a bit on the squishy side lol. Using mobs to body block other mobs helps a lot. Dont let mobs surround you especially when you are hitting one target at a time SWF most of the time. At least until you get spinning ice. ;)

Healing takes more investment to be effective too.

I was also going to mention Boast: Sing a Song to gain (25/50/100) Temporary hit points. Its in the warchanter tree tier 2.

Also, +8 Tome will give you +8 at level 22. 😁 So whatever you've planned during the stream (what was that ?) something like "I buy +8 tome and get STR for the feat without spending points to STR" won't work. As usual, DDO does not work as you think it would. 😋😎
was just musing on ways to get 17 str for a feat if I ever wanted to go 2hander on a non str build.

I'm loving the passive buffs these warchanter / wash boys get for themselves and others. But staying alive is ROUGH compared to my EK builds I did. I'm starting to feel spoiled after my EK / Wiz palemaster combo for almost every aspect of the game lol

after time you'll see ddo survival depends on avoiding damage as much as mitigating it.

get jiggy with your sidestep and circle of death

focus on dodge/Prr/Mrr

the single target Otto Dance works like 90% of the time or better, use that on Orange names and Champs and Reapers

Have fun!

I really love the idea of swashbuckling but it still ends up relying on melee. Light armor or no armor can be a little squishy even with displacement and some PRR and 30%+ dodge in epics.
yeah my EK at least at mage armor and shields with improvements and a lot more sustain and health to go with. Its been challenging to adjust.
