Failed to launch client

I've tried all the troubleshooting I can find, including those suggested here: https://forums.ddo.com/index.php?th...-as-crowdsourced-by-many-players-advice.1666/. It's not Direct X, not the Visual Basic C++ version, not the firewall, not the antivirus, not the server, not the Internet Provider, etc.

I've run DDO on this unit for 7+ years and not much of a hitch I haven't solved myself since I have a background in tech support. But this just stumps me. The DND Launcher works fine, but when launching the game, it just leads to "Failed to launch client". The dndclient.exe doesn't even run in the task manager. It's like the launcher doesn't detect it, even when I force drag the dndclient.exe to the launcher.

And it's not the hardware or graphics card, since I can run DDO on an even older 32-bit laptop than the 64-bit one I'm having problems with. Even if it were the graphics card, the launcher would at least run the dndclient.exe and crash when there's a graphics incompatibility or issue.

Anyone else experienced something like this? Any solution?

Yes this is happening a lot to people in my group. The game seems to be hanging up on connecting to the server. A buddy of mine did a repair and still couldn't get on last night. After several attempts.

Sorry to hear that you guys are experiencing it, too. Though I'm oddly relieved that at least I'm not alone with this issue.

Still, what did SSG change this time that the game isn't working with hardware that it did before??? It's not like there was a massive graphics upgrade that requires a change to a high-end unit. It's supposed to work on a potato!

My personal first step these days is delete the client executable and then run the launcher, has worked every time for me.

Well, for me after the update, it worked fine. Then yesterday after playing for a few hours I logged to go do some real life things, came back later that afternoon and started having the same problem. Sign-in. Pick server. Wait. Get Error. Failed to Queue for server (0xA0010000). So, what to ****?

This is the img that was sent to me.

I am getting the in line to connect then it hangs.

Some weird **** is going on. Today it started it again. Same thing. However, I tried a second time and got right in. They need a restart or hotfix or something.

Is this on Ghallanda or a different server? A number of people are experiencing a fail to launch on G-land after the "Getting in line to connect..." message. Other servers seem OK.
