Dear Orienties and visitors,

a bunch of players and guilds started the Orien Raiding Discord back in July 2019. The aim was to support cross-guild raiding, push attempts and pug raids. It was successful beyond this approach. We did form a great and big community outside the game with ups and downs of course, lots of popcorn moments, many laughs, much criticism in- and outside the game, some of it even constructive. We got some nice picture moments and video highlights. I, at least, collected some great stories to share.
The team likes to thank every member for being engaged in that discord or even lurking, maybe spreading the word about information and/or events. You are truly a great bunch.

With the upcoming server transfers we are all afraid of losing friends and others so the ORD admin team decided that we won't close down ORD but going bigger.
With this post we like to invite you to join the old but new DDO Raiding Disord.

What the heck is it for? It wants to fill a niche. It is already a server for raiders to network so that pug raids can be organised and spot in guild raids can be filled. But we do have trades, builds and recruitment, too. Join an already existing community to find a good spot for raiding.
We have a General, Strategy and Miscellaneous section for news, talks, spoilers and offtopic already. We will have an LFM and trade section for every server individually with an integrated raid calendar. Those will be online in the coming week but you can check it out for Orien already.
Our Voice chats are for you to use for raids and quests or whatever you like them for.
If you want to organise an event, be our guest. We will support you as best as we can.

The Discord is in a process of change and we got a bunch of good ideas to make it better. Don't hesitate to ping @Management or write me personally for ideas or questions.

Farewell raffle!

In order to celebrate the Orien Community I will do a Farewell raffle on the weekend of the 4th to 6th July. Details for time of day in your timezone can be found on the discord.
It won't be as big as the past raffles because we don't have the time but it will be okay for a farewell, I think.

There are 3 prizes
- Heroic Otto's Box and
- 2 Traveler's trunks


The raffle will be done with the Giveaway Bot like in the past years.
#1 Be a member on the Orien Raiding Discord now DDO Raiding Discord.
#2 Get the @raider role.
#3 Enter the channel named #raffleroom.
#4 The single raffles will be executed with the help of a bot looking like this:

#5 If you want to enroll/participate in that raffle, click the party popper reaction at the bottom.
#6 The bot counts down and announces the winners when the time is over.
#7 If you are a lucky winner, you will get contacted by me via discord. You can contact me, as well of course.
#8 You have to name us a character on Orien. If this character exists we will agree on a time and day to meet up and trade your prize. We won't send the prizes via mail because we don't want it to get lost. And we will make screenshots of the trade.
#9 If you want to get pinged in discord for the start of the raffle, type -role raffle in #offtopic-and-bot on the discord.

The prizes and their winners will be published in this thread.

last year, titus (organizer of the giveaway, last years was MASSIVE), she set up bot accounts to put up an lfm all the time to tell people of the server to join the raffle. DDO players, being the highly intelligant creatures they are, got CS to ban the the lfm accounts which also happened to have raffle giveaway materials. one of the raffles was delayed for a week because the prizes could not be distributed

Hello Raiders,

we opened a new build section in the DDO RD. It is organised like a forum, making it easier to get an overview and to ask questions about specific builds. We like to invite every builder to post their builds there so we got a central spot for builds besides the forum.

Server Categories,​

We opened the specific server categories. We will test which channels are getting used and adjust based on feedback.
  • If you want to have a look at the event/raiding calendar and/or add your raid use the command -calendar in ⁠#offtopic-and-bot and follow the provided link. To edit the calendar you need a Roblox account. If you don't have one, drop me a DM with the necessary information and I'll do it for you. Your raid/event will be posted in #[server]-calendar 15 min before start.
  • Raid and Quest lfms can be tagged with the @Reaper or @reaper10,
  • For trades we only allow ingame goodies for ingame currency and legit trades aka no use of exploits.
It is best to disable channels and/or categories you don't need in ⁠#Browse Channels.
