Favored Weapon

Just wanted a definitive answer as it is eluding me for some reason.

- Is there any way to change your favored weapon without lesser res?

I have Warhammer as my FW, from choosing Onatar but now as I get higher in levels LongSword seems to be a better choice.

If I have to TR, I have to TR. I know there are epic destinies that give FW for various weapons, I was just trying to see.

2 or 3 levels of paladin/KotC allow you to get longswords, warhammers, morningstars and battleaxes (tier 2) or greatswords (tier 3) as favored weapons. Must be LG to start with.
Also there's a curse for that (good luck though).

Onatar is a great choice for characters looking to boost their DPS.
The boost from Onatar's Forge is effective even if you're using a different weapon, such as a Long Sword or Great Sword.

I play an Aasimar with a Falchion, and I activate Unbridled Fury (FotW T5), Divine Purpose (Aasimar T2), and Onatar's Forge to temporarily increase my DPS.

If you take the Knight's Training feat, you can keep using a War Hammer and still get performance equal to or even better than a Long Sword.

To make Long Sword your Favored Weapon without changing your religion, you can take KotC Adept Combatant (T2) or Divine Crusader Axiom of Faith (T3).

However, there used to be a bug where even with these, you wouldn't receive the Attack & Damage bonuses granted at Lv1, Lv3, and Lv12.
I believe this bug has been fixed, but I haven't verified it.

Thanks for the help. I was close to 23 so I just took the Epic. And yes that's why I chose Onatar the DPS is really good. I just got a really good long sword and was trying to not change out deities but get another FW.
