First Lifer Bubtnuk for Reaper Raids

As part of Lava Diver's first lifer raid challenge, I created a Barbarian Tank. Note that there are quite a bit of restrictions with this build:
  1. No more than one +2 attribute tome
  2. No more than one +5 attribute tome
  3. No reaper points spent
  4. No raid gear, or any item that requires Threads of Fate or Commendations of Heroism.
  5. No past lives
  6. Cannot use rare consumables that are only found randomly in chests, from daily dice rolls or otherwise have a limited supply within the game. Examples:
    1. Mana potions
    2. Radiant Forcefield potions/scrolls
    3. Long lasting USP/MP/RP potions
    4. Fireshield Cold/Fire potions
    5. Alchemical potions (Intimidate, +3 stats)
    6. Event cookies
    7. Scarab of spell absorption
  7. Rings of spell storing are permitted, as are remnant potions, Commendation of Valor potions, vendor spellpower potions and Yugo favor potions.
  8. Any number of +3 skill tomes are permitted
  9. All enhancement trees and epic destinies are permitted
  10. Remnant tomes +1 or +2 are permitted
  11. Maximum sentient XP: 60k (7 filigree slots)
  12. Maximum enhancements points spent: 80 (no tomes)
  13. Maximum epic destiny points spent: 61 (no tomes)
  14. 32-point builds are permitted
I originally ran this character up on Hardcore as a SWF 20 Barb; I just LR'd to reset stats and feats. Building from scratch, Aasimar is another race to consider: it gets you +20 Hamp, +2 Cha, +10 PRR/MRR and +5% Sacred HP, but you lose +2 Con, 20 HP, +2 Intim, +2 PRR and 4 (or 10 w/Chimera) Bubbles. Vecna provides most of what you need for an easy gear farm.

I ran a 4-man LH PN and a 12-man R1 on this build.

Credit Ying for the build template and Sno for the proper name of a Barb Tank.

two questions.

1. is it fun?

2. i have a 2nd life pally tank that i use for guild stuff. would it work with your build here?

i know im not following the rules but trying to make a decent low life tank

I like bubtnuk, Praetor has a first lifer Pali, some like fighter.

On this build, improved uncanny, 14% DR, sprint boost and a bubble tickles my fancy.
This is really helpful context. I had heard Barbarian gets hit harder from missing 5piece LGS gear than Fighter and Paladin do, so I was curious why someone would choose to build one for a first life, no raid gear challenge. I'm learning that bubbles are way more important than I had ever given them credit for.

Do you just wear plate armor without proficiency for it?
