Y'all know I do hang out around here, right? >.> I can... uh... read?
Uhh... that's why we say things... so hopefully the dev team actually reads things and makes an effort to fix things for the customers of their product. It's not difficult to understand that happy customers = more spending. What makes customers happy? Functioning products that are easy to use.
The player base is used to the dev team largely ignoring feedback. This leads to frustration. Frustration, along with a poorly functioning product = unhappy customers = less spending. It doesn't take a billionaire who dresses up nightly like a flying rodent with his underoos on the outside of his yoga pants, with an odd proclivity for underage sidekicks, to figure that out.
I don't have 20 years in game development, hell, I'm not even a small town bird lawyer, but I do know that say when you have eight or so months from an expansion coming out until the release of its bonus items in the store that you should make make sure said items work and don't have to be pulled from sale for a time because no one bothered in those eight months to check if there might be some kind of problem, like say with the Chaosmancer, or bother to make sure the art team has the icons ready for items when they go on sale like with several Lamordia items did. (I forget, but didn't one of those items also have to get pulled temporarily for some reason or another too?)
These issues happen with the cash store too. Let's say you do some big sales for expansions during Black Friday in November of one year, and then you do big sales for expansions in June/July of the following year, you'd assume that any issues with pricing from the November sale would have been fixed by the time a similar sale happens seven-ish months later, right? Nope, because the same thing happened again.
I don't just criticize; I've praised Tonquin's return as one of the few bright spots in 2026 for DDO, because it meant a dev who pays attention to the bugs players report makes an effort to fix them; but when poor functionality and clearly preventable issues crop up -- repeatedly sometimes -- with both the in-game store and the cash store, it's going to take more than lowering the prices on Bigsby Hands or a cutesey-named weekly giveaway code to get praise from me.
