long live ROGUE
Pugged with a great player around level 13 on Thrane so after doing Spire, thought we could hit this one. Reminder: it is the quest were zombies charge at the gate so two players make it easy, solo it is very frustrating.
A mote spawned very near the gate. I forget what color. We play, mobs spawn and CHARGE HEADLONG AT THE GATE! Fortunately we dispatch them easy enough. The gate has powerful aggro to make the quest work so that explained things. Hadn’t thought it through.
Then Scar, big horse, spawns. He starts shouting and slams the gate and goes RIGHT THROUGH it. We could see him on the other side (like, 6 game meters visually) where you would need to be in the public space to access it. We were laughing and figured that things were over. However, he kept shouting, turned around and smashed back into the quest through the gate again. Fortunately we could fight him again, so we dropped him quickly enough.
Gote mote xp and somehow the gate was ok enough, finished quest. Absolutely hilarious and unique experience, highly recommended for the lolz although difficult to reproduce.
