Game crashes upon clicking anything on title screen

Whenever I try to launch the game If it's in 32 bit mode or 64, it doesn't work, and when prompted if I'd like to launch with DX 11 I've said both yes and no and it hasn't work. I've also tried installing it on steam as well as through the launcher and it doesn't work I also tried to repair it to no avail, and i've tried to reset game display settings.
Edit: I can hear what I think? is the title screen music but nothing appears, except a small black box in the top left when I tab in.

Normally I wouldn't ask, but your name makes me wonder if you're running under Windows or some other more outre OS?

My guess would be that you have a permissions issue; iirc, I had to fix the permissions after install or DDO would not run.

I'm running on windows 10 if that answers your question.
I'm also running it as admin.

If you're running it as Admin, it's not permissions -- I'd advise not doing that long-term, though. On a recent fresh W10, I didn't need to do anything other than fix permissions to get it to run. The previous system was a very old W10 that had been upgraded from W7 and I recall it needing more work, but not details (was too long ago).

A steam install might need some special fixing -- I seem to recall reading things from the old-forums about steam issues when I was fixing up my install. V.vague recollection about a steam account being special and requiring launch via steam, but I could easily be confusing that with other games, since I don't use steam (for that very reason). I do recall that peeps here have gotten it to work via steam, though. There's hope.

The kind of error message/s you're getting should help you. If it's just a full-screen of black (no errors), try setting client options to start it in pure windowed mode with 640x480 resolution. You might need to manually edit the settings to do that. From there, you can try other settings. How to do that? Eh, more googling around for you is best. IIRC, there are some nice posts on that in old forums.

Alright thank you. I'll give it a try. I've used both steam and the independent launcher, but i'll try that on steam to see if that fixes it. Thank you.

After trying this, it sadly still did not work. I'm not getting any error messages or any kind. If I do the reset video options, it'll make a black box in the top right, if I don't do anything it stays there until it crashes. If I click off or tab out, it will then set itself into 640x480 then, if I click on this it'll be stuck like that an needs to be closed with task manager on my other Monitor. If I leave it tabbed out, it will then go away and nothing will be on my desktop, and if I tab into it, all sound will stop and it'll be a very small rectangle on my screen. Also in this mode it will play audio but nothing visually except the black box will appear.

Hmm. I run the Launcher & Client with High DPI Scaling Override set to Application. Might try that. Here's my UserPreferences.ini file, too. It goes into Documents\Dungeons and Dragons Online\UserPreferences.ini. Save a copy of yours first. Mine almost certainly has oddities that are not right for you; eg. sound might have wrong card, resolution wrong, etc..

But, if it manages to boot and show more than black, you can then tweak it to suit you. If this .ini helps and you're very ambitious, you could revert to your saved default .ini and apply differences 1x1 to find the culprit.

When doing this all it did was make me reinstall the entire game.

On the old Forum there was a known issue posted at the top, something about black screen and UI only.

it suggested installing and setting DX9 instead of 10 or 11.

Assuming my memory hasn't gone off the deep end.

I have installed DX9 and there was sadly no fix, it could be an issue that I have DX12 though, but I can't be 100% sure.
Edit: I'll install it one more time just to be safe.
edit 2 : I'm a massive dumbass. Nevermind Thank you so move for your help
Edit 3: Well, the game went to the screen once, now it is in frame however it's just a black screen with a loading circle. Any ideas?
