had 2 crashes within 1 min of gameplay..

I checked the log, multiple times came up with this error:

0x05002E4B: error: The animation has 40 bones while the setup "" (0x04001165) has 44 bones. The number of bones in the animation must be the same as the setup.

also, pages and pages of errors like this:

Try running the launcher as admin. If that doesn't work try this:
UPDATE - I managed to get it working again by doing the following EXACTLY:

Hold shift and right click on the launcher Click “run as a different user” When the new window comes up (prompting for new username and password), cancel it. Again, hold shift and right click on the launcher Click “run as administrator”

For whatever reason, simply right clicking the launcher and running as admin didn’t work, but taking the steps above specifically suing the shift key works perfectly.

Hopefully that will help anyone else that may be having the same issue.

did you even read my post?
how is launching the game with a different series of clicks going to fix mesh, and server/client errors?
Because "Attempting to set a NetSharedVisually or NetSharedPrivately property (Name) on the client. This is not allowed, because these are server-authorative." comes up with some LOTRO-side results of setting as admin help folks with that same error; so it might help you or might not, but certainly couldn't hurt to try.

I hope it doesn't work for you.
your wish is granted.. because I wouldn't ever try something so futile.... I have a degree in IT... so I don't know what that other guy is smoking, but the error is a mesh error - which is generated do to an incorrect drawing of a model in game... It has NOTHING to do with running as administrator..

Animation Bone Mismatch

The first error:

0x05002E4B: error: The animation has 40 bones while the setup "" (0x04001165) has 44 bones. The number of bones in the animation must be the same as the setup.

indicates that there is a mismatch between the number of bones in an animation and the number of bones in the animation setup. This mismatch can cause the game to crash because the animation system expects a certain structure that isn't met, leading to undefined behavior or errors.

Possible Causes:

  1. Corrupted or Outdated Files: One of the animation files might be corrupted or outdated. Reinstalling or verifying the game files through the launcher might resolve this issue.
  2. Modifications or Custom Content: If you have installed any mods or custom content, these might be causing the mismatch. Disabling or removing them could help.
  3. Patch or Update Issue: A recent patch or update might have introduced this issue. Checking the game forums or support channels for known issues might provide a solution or workaround.

The repeated error messages:

573265810.591: Attempting to set a NetSharedVisually or NetSharedPrivately property (Name) on the client. This is not allowed, because these are server-authorative.

indicate that the client is trying to modify properties that are controlled by the server. In multiplayer games, certain properties are managed exclusively by the server to maintain consistency and prevent cheating.

Possible Causes:

  1. Client-Side Bug: There might be a bug in the client that incorrectly attempts to modify these server-authoritative properties. Updating to the latest version or applying any hotfixes might resolve this.
  2. Network Issues: Poor network connectivity or high latency might be causing synchronization issues, where the client and server are not in sync about property states.
  3. Corrupted or Outdated Files: Similar to the bone mismatch error, corrupted or outdated game files might lead to these errors. Reinstalling or verifying the game files might help.

Oh no, it’s really unfortunate you’re still unable to join the game and converse with the rest of the DDO community. But hey, don't feel discouraged. With your IT degree and stellar interpersonal skills, I'm confident you'll have this meshed out in no time. Thoughts and prayers!

Here's the another possible fix from LOTRO-side https://forums.lotro.com/index.php?threads/instant-crash-to-desktop.782/post-7359 You can also take a look at this thread I maintain of various fixes for DDO issues: https://forums.ddo.com/index.php?th...ourced-by-many-players-advice.1666/post-17453 But it'll likely be the last bit of help I give you as apparently providing you help just gets insults.
