If you edit a page, the new version should show up pretty much instantly once the edit goes through. If you've visited a page recently and somebody else edits it, your browser may still have the previous version in its cache, in which case it will instantly load this instead of making a request to the wiki's server and you won't be able to see the changes. Purging the page's cache by using the "Refresh" option in the drop-down menu marked "More" in the toolbar at the top should fix this issue.

Instant. Usual. 8)
Had to ask. It took about 4 hours for my edit to show up. First edit though. Thought might needed approval from someone... but there was no warning about that and also the dice says the page is not protected... so... I don't know...

What happened was much weirder.
I edited, submitted, and in the same browser the new version showed up live. Then I checked it with a different browser that's cache is always clean and it was still the old version. Then went back to the first browser, logged out of wiki and it still showed the new version. Then cleared the cache and coockies and now showed the old version. Then logged back in and showed the new version again.
Then I asked someone else what they see and they sent a screenshot of the old version.
And then recently, after about 4 hours, both browers on my side shows the new version.
The end.
Such an exciting bedtime story. Good night everyone. :)

there are (at least) two caches that can affect your viewing experience:
- server cache
- browser cache

anonymous readers see server-cached version... no way to bypass i think... only time. up to 24h i think
logged-in readers bypass the server cache
everyone has to deal with browser cache. each browser has a way to bypass it.

Well generally edits from non-logged in users need to have changes visited by a higher permission user. I'm not sure if this publishes changes or what.

The wiki also caches certain pages / tables based on if they are Transcluded on the page (i.e. a page appearing on another page). Things like item or spell lists might take a couple of hours to update.
