Getting really p"£$%* off.

I know I will get flamed for this but they really should do a stat squish every few years like WoW does. That way folks are not running around with 200 Str or Int and attacks are not doing 1k damage.
They did a stat squish and never unsquished it. We still have not gotten back up to where we were pre-squish. They did a squish and then gave only the smallest of stat bumps since then, so there is nothing to squish.

Maybe at lvl34.
Heroic questing however is definitely nerfed and by a large margin.
And as always nerfs impact weaker builds and newer players far more then those who were doing massive overkill anyway.
Extra clip was a level 21 feat. If anything they are buffing them in heroic due to the doubleshot no longer being divided by 3. Actually they are buffing them a lot.

As long as the stats are in line with the content, it shouldn't matter. Their excuse for the squish basically amounted to not wanting to do 2nd grade math.

The real powercreep started with shadowfail. What was a level 22 item was now a level 15 item overnight.

I get it. But they could have smoothed out the progression without the stat squish and manually adjusting every mob in the game. Seriously, all it took was a little math.

Wait though Tanis has some great calculations for you that state otherwise.
The problem isn't damage calculations per hit, its speed at which the hit will be dealt. If you do 3 shots with 20 dmg per hit and they all apply over 1 second vs 25 per hit and they apply over 2 seconds then yes your per hit damage goes up and looks good, however your damage per second goes down. Those numbers in no way reflect the changes, they are simply numbers I pulled out of nowhere in order to demonstrate my point. I am however holding out hope that i'm wrong about everything and the damage feels great after the update. But hopes are low due to historical evidence in the nerf category.

How much doubleshot is available in heroics? Not much. That's why people are saying that epics/legendary will be ok, but heroics will not.

Yeah lets hear from the expert vets, how much doubleshot a level 6 arti can have including augments and cannith crafting on a first life arti for a new player to the game?

I use pure arti for reference, i understand there are many other builds, but just using arti as a baseline.

I thought extra clip was just a way to ask for more lag.

Yep the one shot for 3 times the damage to base and all standard extra damages such as augments would have solved it simple and a crit could be calculated based off a third of that base damage not extras. The fact that they didnt do it this simple way is a dead giveaway to their actual intentions by this change.
I highly doubt you have but an ounce of knowledge regarding game development, coding, programming, etc etc. but I’m sure SSG will take your thoughts into play. Maybe they’ll make us all join “extreme megadeath 35 Con at lvl 34 wank” or whatever your guild is called.

Nah Dave got old not so extreme anymore.

Sadly, I did not think you could make Fusilade look bad, until this update. It is firing slower than the regular repeater shooting was doing before the changes. Expanded clip? I have expanded clip but swear it looks looks/sounds like I am lucky to be firing 3 shots, much less 4 be it however slow it is firing.
You can get some nice numbers if you happen to use a special attack (like pin and thunder-shock), but we still have that "misfire" where a bolt just disappears and there are NO calculations being computed. If they at least would have fixed the dry-fire, maybe it would be ok, but it is still so wonky and you want to fall asleep by the time you finish 1rd of firing.

30% is just from the reaper doubleshot enhancement. So for that one fight you don't one shot something at level 6... actually there isn't a fight that happens. You one-volley reapers too at level 6 since you get int to damage. Maybe if you run chrono at level?
9 is just from the epic past life and 10 from the tier4 enhancement in artificer tree. Inquisitors get way, way more.

I once ran my half-elf bard with arti dilitante. No int or cha to damage, just used repeaters up to level 7 or 8 I think. I would one volley everything on r1 except reapers.

But the real question is: what exactly was NERFED at level 6 for your artificer? I mean, something terrible must have happened to your artificer at level 6 to think you got so nerfed. From what I read, the only real nerf was the extra clip which matters for fatesinger strikes and hunt's end. Everything else seemed inconsequential, unless they borked the animations incredibly like the ones from the new aoe attacks that kill your animation and you have to wait before you fire again.

I take everything back. I just used fussilable and it's dead. Move on.

Thanks for that, but still havent heard the answer to my question, how much doubleshot can a first life level 6 artificer have?

I'm speaking from memory so I might have missed something...
3% gear
10% BE Ability Engine
5% new bonus 2nd core
9% epic past lives

You can add reaper strike for temporary bonus.

First life wont have epic feats

So it looks like this

Artificer with atleast 4 levels artificer can have 18% doubleshot at level 6 with 23 action points spent in battle engineer

Artificer with atleast 3 levels artificer can have 8% doubleshot at level 6 with 6 action points spent in battle engineer

Any other repeater build with less than 3 levels of artificer can have 3% doubleshot

Yep doubleshot has really balanced out the new nerf to repeaters dps.

As myself and others have said the build is pretty much dead for heroics move on.

The great thing about when they make these changes in heroics it is pretty easy and cost free to respec out to something effective, and it reminds you not to invest anything to deep into your builds going forward just play for fun.
