When does the lotro expansion come out? Maybe when that's done then they can spend some time on us forgotten ddo players.

I wonder if there is new DNS info for the failing transfer wizard? Maybe people having problems could try reseting their internet modem/device and try again?

So 7 out of 8 servers went well. The last one is in limbo. I have a character that is packed on Gallanda but doesn't show up for transfer.
If I try to log into the server, I can't because the character is of course... packed for transfer. Guess I need to put a ticket in.
It almost went right! 😕

Forgive me if this was answered already but why are you banning those who are AFK? Or how do you determine whether people are working on tranfers or not? I'm confused.

This question answers itself if you have been around long enough. They ban without evidence, based on hearsay and no right to appeal. They are indemnifying themselves against the future post that complains of bans when the player was simply AFK. That way, the forum pallies can cluster-&*%$ the poster and call them cheaters and exploiters.

So they opened old servers as ghost worlds but fixed nothing. I still cant transfer my packed characters. Fortunately not my main but i have on them tons of items and Tr gear. What to do now ?? We know CS is close to non existant in this game and its already like two months without access to my characters sigh... Anyone managed to transfer stuck in limbo character after opening ?

Unfortunately the only option is pretty much open a support ticket and hope customer service finally gets to your ticket... Currently most tickets get a respond after about a month or two.

I did it twice. Its an auto answer with copy paste guide how to pack, transfer etc. Or they "recommend" to log yourself on your packed character. It wont help this way at all.

I am having a hard time believing, at this point, that the character transfer wizard is a working thing as I have never been able to get it to show me anything other than a gateway error or blank scroll bar. I have had my characters packed (from Thelanis) since Thursday. Every time I attempt to go through the transfer wizard, it either gives me the gateway error or the blank scroll bar with no worlds to select in the "Your Worlds" section. Several folks have said "the server is just busy, keep trying" or "try at less busy times" but honestly, nothing works. This is silly and incredibly frustrating. I get that it is only three people working on this game but there really needed to be a better strategy to this roll out to prevent this madness :(

Yeah, sadly haven't heard anything since they reopened the old worlds. I am still "celebrating" Missing Monday, in honor of my missing characters, but it seems to be working about as well as my Monster Manual campaign.*

I know it... it sucks! But it's currently the only way so keep trying and hope you get one of the good customer support people that actually helps. I've had several tickets (not transfer related though) where I got generic response and even got a ticket closed while the problem was still there. But eventually it got fixed.

But it doesn't. They've explicitly stated, and quoting their named/signed emailed response:

Customer Support is currently unable to assist on issues regarding transfer errors. This ticket is required to be placed on-hold while development identifies a solution.

Doesn't matter how good CS is, how often Cordo says 'they are working with you on it' - the ball is in someone else's court.

Out of curiosity, do you have an active VIP sub?

After many failures to transfer to Thrane i managed to transfer to Shadowdale. I will just wait to get them repacked and send them when 64 to 64 bit arrives. You can try that if you are still stuck. If you are like me and tried transferring in the first days that it was way too glitchy maybe you can try that.

Has anyone else who has been stuck tried going to a different world like this? At least it would get you off of the dead world.

I had a character packed and ready for transfer in late summer but it would not show up in the list of characters ready for transfer, and upon logging into the server the character was in it stopped showing up in the server's character list as well (when the packing first completed I did confirm that it had the briefcase icon in the characters list)

I had renewed my 3-month VIP status to explicitly be able to transfer that character as it was an alchemist, but now that character is seemingly completely gone and after two months my support tickets have still not been acknowledged in any way.
Anyone who still has a VIP pass is foolish and part of the problem.

They have no incentive to solve anything if they never see a loss of income.
I've been playing on and off for near a decade but this will most likely be the last time I've ever paid a dime for anything in this game. Things being slow I can understand due to the technical debt and small dev team, but the utter lack of effective communication is completely inexcusable.

From my perspective I paid 30 USD to get thousands of hours of reincarnation progress deleted by the game. It'd be kinda hilarious if it wasn't so frustrating.

The former 32-bit game worlds closed at the end of August are now available for further free transfers for at least two years from the game launcher. Read more about "ghost worlds" transfers on DDO.com.
Once again, game unplayable. Chat does not work, cannot remove items from mailbox, lag everywhere. Glad you added an event into this lag. What a bunch of crap. Had to quit at 5pm, because lag became unbearable. Came back at 9pm to find nothing works. Thanks DDO for taking my money, and not supplying a game.

Bdw CS started to copy paste a new "mumbo jumbo" message for idiots . Thats what i received for my "im unable to transfer my chars" tickets:

The closed 32-bit servers are temporarily reopened in limited transfer windows to allow players to move their characters to active 64-bit worlds. During these windows, only a limited number of transfers can be processed at one time, so it’s normal to experience delays or see temporary unavailability.
If you receive an error message or your characters do not appear as transferable, please wait a few hours and try again later. Once the queue clears and the next transfer window opens, you should be able to complete your transfer successfully.
If your character is not listed on the transfer page, it means that it is not currently available for transfer. Please check back again during the next open window.
We appreciate your patience while these transfer periods are active.

Yeah, that's why I asked my question about VIP.

This will go on for as long as enough players continue giving them money that it's more profitable to ignore the problems and skimp on CS than it is to fix them and staff CS adequately.
