Give us a raid that turns trap parts and soul gems into something useful

Okay, so imagine this: You enter a raid and there's some optional chests

Chest 1: A hag is seeking 100 soul gems of a specific type (Randomized), provide this and the party gains an extra chest

Chest 2: An artificer is seeking 100 trap parts of a specific type (Randomized), provide this and the party gains an extra chest

No ty. I would like to see action and interesting mechanics during fights which neeeds teamwork.
This looks a bit boring to me and makes me dont run that raid again.

At least soul gems can be used for some Cannith recipes, though Bane damage in general needs a complete overall. 2d6 aint crap in this age of the game, it barely meant anything during Shroud if you had a harry beater when it arguably meant the most.

Bane items aren't enough to give adequate value to soul gems.

There needs to be a good way with a good trade-off to rid ones self of entire stacks of 100 soul gems at a time.

Maybe "A random type of soulgem" would be a bad call for an optional raid chest, so perhaps a stack of 100 of any specific soulgem type.

Oh yeah I agree, if bane damage was good and rare, sure - but right now it's just more crafting mats you need for no real benefit.

If not a Raid mechanic, perhaps the ability to trade them in for crafting materials or filigrees. Wouldn't mind getting rare filigrees with a secondary mechanism. The economy is this game is 95% grind and AS/DDO points
