Upgrading the Hellfire Crossbow form normal > Epic and above changes it from a light repeating to a heavy one. Pretty sure this is the only weapon that changes type on an upgrade.
Has this even been confirmed as WAI or bugged?

It's been that way ever since it was first introduced so I'm assuming WAI, but considering how the game has changed over time & changing the type might impact certain abilities (i'm mainly thinking gnomish racial enhancements), I think it should be revisited, maybe just have 2 recipes in the crafting window to make light & heavy versions, or possibly even expand it out to let you choose between light/heavy repeater, light/heavy standard crossbow & great crossbow variants.

Yeah found that out as I was prepping for a Gnome Artificer life.
Looked at it after I upgraded it and swore. Just a bit ;)

WAI. It's been like this since the original epic chrono

Tourney armor in sands stays light on my foggy recollection. I have the light Hellfire (for a gnome artificer), so good to know!
