Help/Thoughts on salvaging this build

I'm looking for advice/help on how to salvage this build so I can get the character to 20 asap and reincarnate. This is a first life character I created years ago and since coming back to the game a couple years ago wanted to clean up some of the old characters I was experimenting with from back in the day. I've thought about just deleting the character but upon examining it realize I invested some resources (notably several stat and skill tomes).

Race: Warforged
32 Point build (after lesser reincarnate)
Level 11 (8 Favored Soul / 3 Rogue)

Stats
STR: 15
DEX: 15
CON: 14 (+3 tome)
INT: 14 (+3 tome)
WIS: 14 (+3 tome)
Cha: 6 (+1 tome)

Feats: Toughness, Two Handed Fighting, Dodge, Maximize (for a couple SLAs)
Skills: most vested in trapping skills

I'm using a staff, trying to salvage something but can tell this is going downhill really fast. I just need to know if this is salvageable to 20. I am not able to really do any reaper; I get savaged every time I do.

I'm no expert, but since it is a first life and the exp needed isn't that demanding, you already have rogue levels and is using quarterstaff, get it to 6, go Acrobat. Maybe delving in to Monk 6 to get Henshin T5.

You will be 8 FvS/6 Rogue/6 Monk... So, will earn a FvS Past Life which isn't so bad if going for Casters lifes in the future.

I'm wondering whether you should reset your enhancements to FvS eg Angel/Vengeance or War Soul and try to melee your way through to lvl20

I'm no expert, but since it is a first life and the exp needed isn't that demanding, you already have rogue levels and is using quarterstaff, get it to 6, go Acrobat. Maybe delving in to Monk 6 to get Henshin T5.

Going to look more into those trees as well to see if I can get something out of them. Honestly, this is my first character as a Fav Soul so I am quite ignorant as it pertains to the class. Thank you so much for the feedback!

Depending on how long you've been gone, you should have at least one free Lesser Heart of Wood in your inventory which can be used to clean up your feats and stats. There's not much point in having STR and DEX so high unless you were trying for, say, DEX Acrobat; Dodge and Toughness are wasted feats on this build IMO.

As for how to continue leveling your build, a few options:

• FvS 17 / rogue 3, either as a slightly handicapped Angel of Vengeances caster or a melee build using tier-5 Warsoul + greatswords (Lord of Blades). Go great with a Sword of Shadow if you had one; otherwise you could either use a Barovian greatsword, Whirlwind, or Blackrazor.
• If you're sticking with staves, two more rogue levels would unlock tier-5 Acrobat. Monk splash would only be an option if you're Lawful. Switch to Aureon and you'll also gain Favored weapon bonuses from Warsoul.
• You could switch to a third class if you wanted a specific past-life feat, but you'll be waiting quite a while for it to come online.

I don't believe respeccing is mandatory - yes, points were wasted trying to cover too many bases, but the diff between a starting 18 stat and a starting 15 is only +1 or 2 - not a dealbreaker (unless he's trying to be a caster, then, yes, start 18, end of discussion).

Speaking of casters, your caster level has lost 3 into Rogue, so that won't be optimal. I'd go one of the melee routes - simple, easily geared, easily played, no respec needed so save your Heart' for a true emergency. I like Thief Acrobats, and the combo of Dex-based plus a decent Strength for Tripping DC's is not a terrible thing.


As touched on above, you may(?) also want to consider the PL feat this toon will be earning upon TR. Right now, there's room for a 3rd class, to finish X 9/8/3 - depending on the choice, could be either easy (if Fighter), or tougher (high variability). A FS PL gives +1 Spell Pen - which may not be as exciting as it might be, depending what you see in his future after TR. :/

Otoh, a Rogue PL is not a terrible thing (+2 ST vs. Traps, +1 SA die). Ymmv.

Does the character have Greater XP tomes? If not, I'd just crunch all of their items, move their resources, and delete. Black Friday is around the corner. And if you don't like spending cash, +5 and +8 stat tomes are available with favor.
