i mostly play in mouse look/fps mode but lately the game random make my mouse turn speed on one side 3 times slower than the other. sometime right sometime left. i have to tag to cursor mode and wave the cursor around for like a sec then turn back to mouse look mode and its fixed. this happen about once every 5 mins and it does not happen out side of the game or in any other game. never run in to something like this so idk where to start to fix it, if the mouse is broken i cant get a new one but seems fine out side of ddo.

Do you have a controller as well? And is it plugged in/connected whilst DDO is running? If so, it's likely stick drifting causing the rotation. And if you disconnect the controller, then it should solve it.

If no controller, will need a bit more info.

dont have controller. its a wireless red dragon mouse about 2 years old. weird part is the randomness of it, some time turning right get slowed sometime turning right and when i switch to cursor mode the cursor moves totally normal

Which Redragon Wireless mouse model is it? Looking around, there were some models that had hardware (inbuilt) Mouse Acceleration and that can cause problems if you recently installed DDO or reset the default settings for it or had its detection in the Redragon software causing it to use this feature.

They made some changes to mouse look mode a while ago. Fixed one issue and caused different issues. The usual whack-a-mole.

The mouse look mode keeps track of your cursor location even though you don't see it on the screen. If your cursor reaches the border of the DDO game client window it will stop moving your camera in game. Not sure if this is your issue but I regularly have to turn mouse look off to align the cursor in the center then reapply. Usually do this when pulling levers, opening doors, etc.

In general it shouldn't get misaligned if you're not alt-tabbing to anything, but the alt-tab really ***** up the alignment.

Euh , not for me :)
It does not stop the camera rotation when the cursor is outside my windows if I keep the button pressed.
And when the button is released , the cursor is at the initial (when clicked) position.

You can reproduce the issue by entering mouse-look mode, hold right-click to enter cursor mode, move the cursor close to the edge of the window, then release right-click. The hidden cursor remembers that you were on the edge, so if you move the mouse right or left to spin the camera, it will get stuck on the border where your hidden cursor is moving off the window.

I find this happens quite frequently if you are in mouse-look mode then interact with something like an NPC that returns you to cursor mode in order to select dialogue options. When you finish the dialogue and it snaps back to mouse-look there is some tracking issue where your hidden cursor moved off of the center. Do that enough times and you can encounter the camera rotation issue.

The solution is to manually disable mouse-look when interacting with NPC's.

oups , I inverted the mode.

but in mouse look mode (so not pressed) , I can see the cursor being automatically re-positioned at the border of the frame if it's out of border.

Whatever , just a detail , ... nothing that could help the OP.

I can reproduce the same problem (Mouse sensitivity drastically reduced on one side or the other) by positioning the mouse very near but not on the edge of either side of the screen while outside of mouse look mode and then re-entering mouse look mode.

Alt-tabbing seems to retain the cursor position in the DDO client for me, so most likely, the problem is that some set of actions you're taking in the game ends up with them enabling mouse look mode with the cursor near an edge of the screen throughout gameplay. Try to reposition menus and dialogue boxes to where closing them doesn't put you near the edge and be mindful of the cursor position when closing menus with hotkeys or entering mouse look mode, and we should file a bug report with relevant information so the developers can narrow in on the bug and find a good solution.
