Hey Tonquin!

Could the Ravenloft teleporters be ordered in the same way the qquests are supposed to be run? The chain-givers tell you the order, but like in Van Richten's Tower the guide goes:
  • Abbey of Saint Markovia
  • Yester's Hill
  • Ruins of Berez
  • Wizard of Wines
Which is just about the worst possible order; it's not alphabetical, it's not sorted by key word, and it's not at all in order that you run them. Nearly every time I'm running someone is asking "which first" which would be a lot easier if you could just say "the first one" when you're running the first quest.

Thanks!
Great idea! I've also re-ordered the dialogue options in the other Ravenloft tavern guide NPCs, not just the one in van Richten's Tower. This will be in an upcoming patch. Thank you!

Unsure if this is working as intended, but using either Fast & Furious from the T2 multiselector in Fury of the Wild epic destiny or T4 Shield Rush enhancement in the Paladin Vanguard tree will put the opposite one on cooldown. Odd, since Shield Rush isn't an Epic Strike, yeah? If you find the time to double check that it will be appreciated.

Some Ravenloft teleport improvements:

* To "Mists of Ravenloft" entrance in House Jorasco, add the destination to "van Richten's Tower".

* From the "Exit" exit in the Blood on the Vine tavern, remove the destination "Blood on the Vine tavern".

Hey Tonquin!

Is There any way for us to get the last large aminety room filled on the guild ship? it has been so long that we have an empty room. some good requests I heard were:

Trainer room: having a centrelized area such of the guildship is awsome and this is one thing that is missing.

Kobold DPS check room: I know quite a few people like to check DPS for their toons and having diffrent options like in the dojo would be awesome!

Individual player housing: I dont know that this is even acheivable but some would like their own quarters. some things that could be cool for this room is converting items into trophies to be able to show off things players have collected. perhaps statues to show off acheivments players have earned such as complestionist or 156 reaper points.

Thanks, Tolab

Hey Tonquin!

I'm a game programmer, and even when I'm playing games made by others, I can't help but think about the algorithms.
It's probably occupational disease, right?

So here's a question.
For some reason, even when the mercenaries are on the spot or summoned, they prioritize attacking over healing in their initial actions.
No matter how much the player's HP decreases, they keep prioritizing attacks.
Of course, they are in guard mode and are instructed to protect me.
I suspect that the inspection order of the thinking algorithm in the source code might be attack > healing.
Just changing the order of calling subroutines to healing > attack could significantly improve the mercenaries' thinking algorithm.

When writing a program, if there's a subroutine AtoB, inevitably the lines of code written first would be prioritized and inspected first, right?
If A and B are exclusive, then A might be prioritized, reducing the likelihood of B occurring, right?
Currently, the subroutine that determines whether to attack is prioritized over the subroutine for healing.
I suspect that the inspection order of the thinking algorithm in the source code might be attack > healing.

Just by changing the order of calling subroutines, the mercenaries' behavior can dramatically improve.
Could you please check on this?
I believe it's just a matter of rewriting a few lines unless one is being touched on the head by our god, the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

I don't think the reward giver for Trial by Fire has ever had a quest completed mark over their head. It's only been 15+ years. Any chance that could finally be added?

Hey tonquin, any chance the bones in isle of dread would have a small chance to drop a jackpot, like slavers? I think this would make it much more enjoyable when you get a big stack :) (this makes sense because Iod crafting is basically just slave lords crafting v2 dinosaur bone boogaloo)

This might be a more complicated request, would it be possible to get the actual bonus (penalty) applied to your character in the tooltip on the icons normally found in the upper left of your screen.

IE I cast Shield of Faith on my character, the icon shows up and says "You have a deflection bonus to Armor Class" It would be nice top know if it is +2, +3, +4 ...

The Druid
A few things I have listed off the top of my head, yes as you can see I mainly play Druid?

Druid enhancement tree natures warior - Howl of the hunter, states it gives 5% crit and 15% crit damage to all spell types when casting howl of terror but it’s only giving it to the cold element.

Druid enhancement tree season’s herald - spring’s resurgence ability isn’t scaling with spellpower/crit values.

In the primal avatar epic destiny it is not possible to select sky as the first core and to select the final power up from the primal spell to reborn in fire (multiselector) currently I am having to select heart first and sky next wich is weird.

Currently increased dodge cap gotten from the reaper enhancement tree grim barricade does not show up in my character sheet.

A few reaper boosts give profane bonuses instead of a reaper bonus, reaper’s power and reaper’s resistance are profane bonuses for some reason. This is a bit awkward since they won’t stack with a lot of set bonuses players use.

Legendary echo of wave is not giving the states 5% exceptional cold spell crit.

Thanks!

Hi, can we go back to the "to hit" chain starting with the highest to hit bonus instead of the lowest to hit value so we less often start combat by missing or grazing hit the ennemies and lose the special attack.

Done and done! This will be in an upcoming patch. Thank you!

Itd be great if the exit outside Into the Mists could take you to Blood on the Vine too

Usually when you're running that saga, that's where you want to go next...and you have to exit back to Jorasco and then teleport to the Tavern, inconveniently

Hey Tonquin!

Every time I take my alchimist from cap back to lvl 1 (doing back to back ETR + RTR), I have problems with my known spells list (which at cap is full, i.e. I know all the spells): while it is WAI that the list is not reset on an ETR, meaning that when I go to 32 to 20 I keep knowing all the spells, I think this should not be the case when I RTR down from 20 to 1 right after that.

However, what happens is that once I do my RTR and I start my new life taking the first level again as an alchy, in the spell selection panel I cannot pick any spell. What I assume is going on, is that the game thinks I already (still?) know all of them, and hence I have nothing left to pick. Luckily I always have enough banked gems to get (at least) to lvl 2 right away, and when I take the second level this bug is gone and I can again select spells to learn from the full list; however, if I had no banked gems, I'd have to lvl from 1 to 2 potentially without any spells, since I could not select any at the start of the new life.

Now, I know that one could go right away to Jorasco and get from vendor scrolls for almost all alchy spells to inscribe them (which is what I usually do, just at lvl 2 rather than at lvl 1), but a new player might not know this, and would most likely have no banked gems to get to lvl 2 and "avoid" the problem of going through the first step of this new life with no spells. Nevertheless, I'm pretty sure this is not WAI.

IIRC, I used to have the same issue with artificers - hence I assume it's a common problem to all classes where one can inscribe spells (hence wizards might suffer the same). Doing some archeology on the old forums it looked like this was indeed a known bug for wizards some 10 years ago...

Well I'm going to try this in this tread as a suggestion.

Can we please make knight's challenge and throw the boom seperate abilities that share a timer? As someone who uses these abilities I prefer Knight's Challenge in "most" raids and when I do R10 question I would prefer to have throw the boom available.

Second can we revisit any enhancement or ability that adds to threat and consider increasing them further so that it is more likely to be able to make a defensive character that can actually hold aggro versus today's high end dps builds?

When successfully hitting an enemy through spell resistance it says "Spell Penetration success", however if it fails it says "Spell Resistance failure" . That can be very confusing.
