Last week we had awesome turnout for our Vault of Night teaching raid with 9 attendees who were new to or still learning the raid. If you missed, you can watch the VOD of the livestream here.

Next in our 2026 teaching raid series will be one of DDO’s newest raids Den of Vipers on Saturday, January 24 at 1pm ET

All events in this series are for players new(er) to raiding or players who are looking to learn raids better. First timers welcome! Please have sound and be willing and able to follow instructions, which will be given via in-game voice chat.

The goal is to welcome newer players into the raiding scene, to teach people how raids work, to get players more comfortable with raids, and to enhance the DDO community. Den of Vipers is a challenging end-game raid and is base level 36. I recommend attendees be as close to level cap as possible and geared for end game play.

If you are new to Vipers, there is no flagging required and it is free to play. Bring remove curse potions.

Space is limited so reserve your spot ahead of time! If you would like to reserve a space in this Saturday's event, please send in-game mail or tell to me on Voodu. You can also stop by my livestream at Twitch channel vooduspyce M-F 9am-3pm ET if you have any questions or to sign up.

This event will be livestreamed on DDO’s Twitch channel DDOstream so even if you're not on Shadowdale, you can watch, learn and ask questions live. This year we are simulcasting our teaching raids on multiple Twitch channels so that viewers can see moments when the party splits or from tank point of view, etc. This week's event will be simulcasted by my guildie Gijo on his Twitch channel highlordpudding. You can watch both streams at the same time at multitwitch.tv/ddostream/highlordpudding.

Thank you to the community for all the support and we hope to see you in raids soon!

Much love,
Voodu and The High Lords of Malkier

Awesome turnout for our Den of Vipers teaching raid. We had 13 attendees who were new to or still learning the hydra raid! We separated the group in back-to-back runs, where we taught the optional and simulcasted the event from tank perspective and viewers could also observe multiple perspectives when the party splits. If you missed, you can watch the VOD of the event on DDOstream below!

Next in our teaching raid series will be a double feature in Feywild with Dryad and the Demigod and Hunt or Be Hunted on Saturday, January 31 at 1pm ET. There is no flagging for either raid and I will post details in the Shadowdale forum soon.
