Last week we had a couple of smooth runs in our Den of Vipers teaching raids with 13 attendees who were new to or learning one of DDO's newest raids.

This week will be a double feature in Feywild with Dryad and the Demigod and Hunt or Be Hunted on Saturday, January 31 at 1pm ET!

All events in this series are for players new(er) to raiding or players who are looking to learn raids better. First timers welcome! Please have sound and be willing and able to follow instructions, which will be given via in-game voice chat.

The goal is to welcome newer players into the raiding scene, to teach people how raids work, to get players more comfortable with raids and to enhance the DDO community. Dryad and Hunt are legendary end game raids, so we recommend attendees be at least level 29 for this event but we will accept any epic level characters. Please note that low level epic characters might get banged up a bit.

If you are new to Dryad and Hunt, there is no flagging required, but you will need to have access to the Fables of the Feywild expansion and Hunter and Hunted adventure pack. We will start with Dryad and meet in Wynwood Hall.

In Hunt or Be Hunted we will be taking constant cold damage during a portion of the raid, so we recommend having some cold absorption. Fire Shield (red version) is very effective. You can use scrolls or potions of fire shield if you cannot cast it. You can also wear a cold absorption item. You can find a list of cold absorption items on DDOwiki here. You can also use randomly generated loot with descriptors “Frozen”, “Icewarded” or older “Blazing”.

Space is limited so reserve your spot ahead of time! If you would like to reserve a space in this Saturday's event, please send in-game mail or tell to me on Voodu. You can also stop by my livestream at Twitch channel vooduspyce M-F 9am to 3pm ET if you have any questions or to sign up.

This event will be live streamed on DDO’s Twitch channel DDOstream so even if you're not on Shadowdale, you can watch, learn and ask questions live. This year we are simulcasting our teaching raids on multiple Twitch channels so that viewers can see moments when the party splits or from tank point of view, etc. This week's event will be simulcasted by my guildie Gijo on his Twitch channel highlordpudding. You can watch both streams at the same time at multitwitch.tv/ddostream/highlordpudding.

Thank you to the community for all the support and we hope to see you in raids soon :D

Much love,
Voodu and The High Lords of Malkier

Great turnout with 7 attendees who were new to or still learning these raids! If you missed, you can watch the replay of the livestream from DDOstream below.

Next in our teaching raid series will be heroic and legendary Tempest's Spine on Saturday, February 7 at 1pm ET, where we will show both the full and short methods of completing the raid. There is no flagging for these raids and I will post details in the Shadowdale forum soon!

We will be working through every raid in the game throughout the winter and spring so plan ahead and get flagged for future events now. Remaining events that require flagging include, in no specific order: Legendary Shroud, Demon Queen, Heroic Abbot, Mark of Death, Too Hot to Handle, The Curse of Strahd, Titan Awakes, Reaver's Fate, Fall of Truth, Tower of Despair, Caught in the Web, Defiler of the Just, Fire on Thunder Peak and Temple of the Deathwyrm :D
