I've used different pointers in the past, with the required controller software. For example a Kensington trackball uses mouse works software. And in that software you can translate key presses and combinations into common functions such as F1 F2 F3 etc. I then map these functions to be my attack or caster rotation ingame by customizing the GUI. This is critical for getting responsive gameplay for me.
But I got a new windows PC recently and loaded DDO first thing. Now the game won't recognize the keystrokes from the mouse clicks. I have the bindings right, nothing happens.
I tested in other programs just to sanity check, and the trackball and software is sending the right keystrokes to the PC. DDO is the only app not recognizing it.
Help!
