How do I increase my AC?

Curious if someone could provide a list of some classic standout %-increase sources for AC.

Also - anybody have any idea of thresholds of usefulness, regarding AC?

Here you go DDOWiki has a nice summary about AC and a neat graphic showing diminished returns.

It will vary from class to class, but universal ones are Natural Armor, Protection, Shield, Bonus from Dex, Insight, Deflection and Bonus from equiped Armor.

afaik, the info on the wiki HERE is still accurate. AC is always useful, but uses a hidden formula that most are unaware of, so it's often disregarded as useless. The chart there goes up to 500 AC, though over 1k ac has been reached. However, most tanks will do just fine with 400-500 (barbarian tanks get away with much lower due to using other defenses more).

For your average non-tank though, anything over 100 is generally great. The trade-offs to get higher are often not worth the losses elsewhere (usually a loss of DPS)

The epic martial past lives give +5AC. Legendary fullplate gives 40. A few of those feats will have a comparatively much higher impact on your defenses than the +3PRR past lives.

I highly recommend getting all those after ypur first 12.
