It won't be the most optimal choice, but no reason it won't work as while greatclubs are generally pretty terrible the named ones are very solid performers.

Make it a halfling or gnome with a cosmetic of the slave rags armour & minos legens helm for old-school D&D goodness.

If you insist on great clubs, Collapse from Fire over Morgrave is an option, as the paralyzing upgrade can be good for CC, or other options would be a Threats Old and New raid crafted undying age weapon, or maybe a Relentless raid crafted Lamordian weapon if you don't want to farm the golden age great club for the undying upgrade.

Otherwise mauls are usually the choice for blunt THF because they have the extra crit dice (or if you're doing something with paladin can be made into a Silvanius favored weapon).

The weapon isn't the big issue with DL since you're not locked into the weapon focus line that Kensei has. With all the feats fighters get, you could take a couple improved critical feats if you want and use whatever THF you feel like at any given time.

Saw someone doing this, built around epic strikes to get massive crits and do Collapse for Blunt Trauma (xtra +1 crit on 19-20) and any other crit boosters.

I was curious just how bad greatclubs are, because all I got of looted ones are meme weapons like Muck's Devastation and Obliteration. and IIRC I have mad lute on some bank toon... which is also a meme weapon

and generic ones.

I gave it a legit shot with my main, dl 20, using the greatclub from litany in heroic and collapse in epic. Greatclubs suck, they need a feat (and clubs too but most people use caster clubs so nobody notices).
