Been playing since release but started on the EU server

I dont remember when i took a long break but when i came back i could not migrate the account any longer to the US servers

Started again but iirc TRing had not been in for too long!

European Server OG here, including closed beta, I remember being able to jump against a wall in the harbour which would let you continue rising up the wall, though I generally only play for at most 6 months then take a long break

Brief stint in 2019, long break. By far most of my playtime has been during this year, was tempted to click this year but that would not have been entirely accurate.

I started in 2011 I think. I was looking for an alternative to NWN persistent servers and DDO was so similar to NWN I fell in love immidiatelly.

This is exactly why I started playing DDO. Was playing on NWN community servers and DDO looked like an official MMO that followed that design.

Then at some point they loosened up the combat movement and I was hooked. I remember trying to circle-strafe on a Rogue the first year and being frustrated because every other swing was going into the aether. Was still better than standing still though. Rogues took a lot of damage from NPC's in the old system.

Joined the original forums about 15 months before game launched, took part in some of the stress tests, and signed up as soon as the game launched in 2006 on EU servers. No real breaks in that period and been VIP since start, though obviously VIP wasnt a thing back then!

Since some time in 2011, I'd say more than 8 years (sorry, my inner grammar gremlin emerged for a second) in total.

There was a brief period where I was playing Neverwinter Online (yes, I know. I feel dirty), but it didn't take long before the overwhelming character and skill simplicity and extreme P2W became unbearable. There was a bit too much focus on PvP there as well, and I'm not a fan of that.

Currently on another hiatus for a little over a year now, but still keeping my eye on things, waiting and hoping for the motivation to return. Somehow managed to misplace over 1,000 hours in BG3 in the meantime, and now having a surprisingly good time with The Planet Crafter.

around 2010ish when they released artificer. I have spent under $100 on the game. That does not include opportunity cost in time spent.

I was a bad archer at the time but manyshot back then was the bomb. I did so much damage I would draw all the aggro and I would have to learn how position them correctly. Then when I reached level 11 it was all over because I would sneak, line the enemies up and manyshot improved precise shot and kite like stupid. I remember I needed to have attack boost otherwise I would miss constantly and +2 to hit goggles was THE BOMB to craft, max level recipie or something like that.

Started playing in 2008 shortly after the release of Module 8. I had a 15 Bard/1 Fighter build with 156 HP. So squishy.

August 2005, second phase closed beta. A few minor breaks in there but mostly active.
Even today I get the Helm, Trinket, Boots and Ring on new characters.
