You can get Minor Guild Renown pots from Eveningstar challenges by turning in the ingredients. While they say they give a 5% boost to earned guild renown, they actually give a 105% boost. All guild renown pots actually boost for 100% more than they say they do. You can also get Tokens of the Twelve from epic Eveningstar Challenge ingredients.
You mean Cannith challenges, not Eveningstar challenges here. As far as I'm aware, you can't get guild renown potions or tokens of the twelve from Eveningstar challenge ingredients. That's just the Cannith challenge ingredients.

When using a hire to pull a lever where you cannot see them or the lever. Have them try to use the lever as you park them, then make sure your target window is empty and they will pull the last lever they tried to pull when you click the activate tab. works great for crucible and the lever at the top in Prison of the Planes.

Time to share some gooddies I guess...

You can reuse lots of key in keybinds with ALT/SHIFT/CTRL-modificators, e.g. Q could be hotkey for shortcut bar 1 slot 1 and ALT-Q could be for bar 2 slot 1, SHIFT-Q could ve bar 3 slot 1 etc.. Though don't use modificators for WASD (or whichever are your movement keys) as it will likely lead to unwanted triggers of those combinations.

Bind a side button on your mouse for Select Next Interactable (default is Q I think), because you often want to spam that key while moving and having it on same hand that uses WASD is cumbersome.

You can use shortcutbar not only for spell components dispaly but pretty much for anything - I often put first crystal in Spiiner of Shadow on bar to see how many I got. I also got all my bags on side bar for quick access. Also all scrolls are on bars to be able to check stocks at a glance.

When you use teleport scroll you get that popup with destinations - don't click anything yet! You can pull destinations that you use often on shortcut bar and then you can teleport with double click on those skipping the *choose destination* part (first click takes scroll in hand, second click sets the picked destination).

Sane trick works with any spell that has secondary *choose option* UI like alchecmists evolution spells.

Next one takes some time to get used - I have a vertical bar almost in the center of screen, a bit to the right of character, with all *Remove X* potions. Now when I get cursed/blinded/afflicted with desease etc. I hold right mouse button to make cursor visible and move it just a little bit to right from character (the cursor appears in middle of the screen) and left click the needed option. After a while you brain *stops seeing* that bar same way we get banner blindness but takes some time, I actually have two bars one, second one left from character with quick access to item swaps, don't even notice them anymore :p

Next - you're about to enter quest while banking XP and again forgot what's the current cap for your lvl? Normally I used to alt-tab into browser, go to ddowiki and check XP table, but no more! Copy paste this:
Code:
XP heroic:
0k ------- 8k ------- 32k ------ 80k ----- 144k
224k ---- 320k ---- 450k ---- 610k ---- 800k
1,02kk -- 1,26kk -- 1,52kk -- 1,8kk --- 2,1kk
2,42kk -- 2,75kk -- 3,09kk -- 3,44kk -- 3,8kk

XP epic:
600k ---- 1,25kk -- 1,95kk -- 2,7kk --- 3,5kk
4,35kk -- 5,25kk -- 6,2kk ---- 7,2kk -- 8,25kk
And put into your character BIO to get nicely aligned XP table on demand.

Next one will be your favorite - got that glitchy tooltip again that blinks in/out or disappears a second after appearing? Fix - hover mouse cursor over your position on minimap till *you are here* tooltip appears. Done, now you can hover over items and tooltips will work normally.

Not sure if this is common knowledge or not but I remember it took me a while to find - you can check your healing amplifications if you hover over Hit Points value in character sheet.

In Missing Party quest in Delera you can get into optional part with single hireling even without summons, the trick is to park hireling just a bit left from northern pressure plate, then you swim through open gate, touch north wall and swim up as much as you can and after that you *unpark* hireling, he will make first step in your general direction and will trigger the plate opening the passage.

Tumble is underrated by some - every character gets two charges and even in heavy armor you get +50% uncapped dodge (75% in medum, 95% for light/cloth) during animation, with decent ping you can reliable align tumble with attack of approaching reaper, takes a bit of practice to get a feel for that but it's a lifesaver available to everyone. Don't forget to turn on Experimantal Tumble Controls which tbh I think should be default now.

Bind a separate key for Interact - default binding for left mouse button is Attack/Interact and sometimes you really need to press/use some button in heat of a battle and the character just keeps swinging club at that button, that's where that key comes in handy. Goes very well in previous advice of binging Select Next Interactable (you did set it to something better than Q by now, didn't you?).

Rearranging chat tabs is big pita but there is more or less decent way - the thing is when you attach detached chat frame back to main chat window it gets placed last in tabs, so to arrange you detach all tabs (pull them out with mouse) and then attach them back (pull them onto main chat window with mouse) in desired order.

Many players turn off DM voice but there is one quest where you got to have it on - A Cry For Help in GH, evrey time you play that quest w/o DM voice a rakshasa cub dies.

Cheers

I hit "P" and hover over a quest.

This bug and the overwriting of the keybinds and settings have been around too long!

You can skip the The Spinner of Shadows Ending Cutscene when turning in the quest by pressing 'Enter' to get the rewards. Pressing 'Escape' cancels it as well but doesn't give rewards.

It's whatever key you have bound to block/tumble IIRC. It's a key you can rebind, anyway, it's not always Enter.

Odd, block is shift for me, but enter works fine to skip the cutscene ...after the loud noise anyway!

Much simpler: Lock a 100 XP token and drag it to a shortcut bar. Want to see how how much XP to the next level? Click that item.

You'll get a popup that says:
-----------------------------------------------------------------
"Using this experience point item will grant enough XP to
get this character to level N with XXX,XXX XP to go to
reach level (N+1)

Are you sure you wish to use this item on this character?
Yes/No"
-----------------------------------------------------------------

It will, ofc, be 100 XP off, but that's seldom critical.

Don't forget to click 'No' or hit <Esc> so you don't accidentally use the token.

NOTE: This works even if you're holding a level. N will be the next level and (N+1) the one that would hard-cap you.

NOTE2: This DOES NOT work at legendary levels. I have no idea why.

On a related note: People often ask what rank is the top of the level above the one they're on when they're holding a level. And I've seen people agonize over the response. In Heroic levels, the answer is simple. Levelups occur every number of ranks divisible by 5. If you're L15 sitting at Rank 77 with 5 blue dots in the lower right corner of your screen, you know you have 3 ranks to go before you cap. Rank 80 will be the last one. This is redundant with the solution above, but it does come up and this is the simple answer. I believe the same is true in Epics, but I've not actually looked.

Jumping when casting doesn't have a movement penalty.
The same is true when using ranged weapons. Jumping does not count as moving, but it DOES make enemy ray spells and ranged projectiles much more likely to miss you. The likelihood increases with distance. So if you find yourself needing/wanting to stand still while ranging or casting, jumping up and down is a good tactic. The higher your Jump, the more effective this tends to be.

On the flipside of that coin, if you're trying to run forward as fast as possible to keep up with your party or close with monsters, jump-casting avoids the penalty to movement speed otherwise associated with casting. This makes the Mobile Spellcasting Feat all-but-irrelevant. (Nobody uses it anyway, right?)

When you're short on party members to stand on buttons (pressure plates), not only hires and Flame Turrets work. If you can kill an enemy in such a way/place that their body falls on the button, you're golden.. for as long as the body takes to dissipate.

You can put almost ANYTHING on a shortcut bar.. including Main Menu items like Character, Inventory, Quest Journal or whatever else you may want to access more quickly. This is particularly helpful if you've remapped the keys that normally access them.

Also, why isn't Enhancements Ctrl-E and Epic Destinies Ctrl-D and Reaper Enhancements Ctrl-R? Mine is. :)

Speaking of Key Mapping, there's very little you can't map.. and since you can have TWO mappings for literally every mappable, you can have simultaneous keyboard/mouse AND controller mappings should you wish.

And speaking of customizations, your layout file, as mentioned by a previous poster, your keyboard mappings, and your preferences are all stored in text files in your Documents/Dungeons and Dragons Online folder .. and the ui/layouts subfolder for your layout files. Back them up and you can transfer your preferred customizations to a new computer or replace them in the event something trashes them.

The relevant files are:
ddo.keymap
UserPreferences
ui/layout/<layoutname(s)> where <layoutname(s)> is/are the name(s) you gave your layouts when you created them with the ui layout save <layoutname> command
