Icefang Chaotic Bypass bugged?

Both myself and a guildie have noticed that Icefang is not providing Chaotic Bypass (at least on the weapon sheet).

Anyone else noticed this?

Or does anyone have an example of it working properly?

Both weapons were Attuned Bone Dwarven war axes.

I assume most people are running Meltfang so haven’t noticed, but we both have that covered elsewhere in our gear and want the Chaotic Bypass.

Yes many things are still bugged even from Update 51 from 3 years ago but right now fixing Amber Temple quest is of utmost importance since it can be completed in under 7 minutes on R10...please hold your breath on a fix...also current raid weapons do not follow raid weapon guidelines for stats, etc. An easy example is the Changestone from Dryad raid. it is ML 29 and has ML 29 stats instead of ML32 like it should. Oh well it is hard to follow the rules.

I take it you're seeing yellow initial damage numbers, yes?

If so, there's always the chance that you're seeing those yellow numbers not because the Chaos bypass property isn't working, but because the mob has an amount of PRR that you're not bypassing.

Don't think he's actually checked against a mob, I think he merely checked the weapon tooltip (IoD-crafted bypasses do show up on the tooltip):

Icefang is not providing Chaotic Bypass (at least on the weapon sheet).

Have not tested on a mob. Just looking at the weapon sheet and chaotic is not there.

Never had an issue with other scale/fang bypasses failing to show up on the sheet.

I am unsure if it's the description that is wrong, or the wrong bonus was applied.

:: clarification edit ::

If you want Chaotic bypass, the Fang you want in your weapon is Sparkfang.

I am unsure if the description is wrong (for both Sparkfang and Icefang) and the bonus given is correct (Spark being Chaotic and Ice being Lawful).

Or if the bonus being given from each Fang was erroneously applied to the wrong one however (only the Devs would know that one).

Thanks! I’ll test that out. I get Lawful on everything so never noticed.

Icefang definitely says in multiple places that it’s chaotic though

I had experienced the same thing as was on my Monk, so all Handwraps were Lawful anyway. Fortunately I went in a Legendary Shroud run and found that I was hitting Yellow Damage on the Book and that brought my attention to the missing Chaotic bypass. Which lead me to look at each of the Fangs to find the correct one giving Chaotic.

Aye. But, if you consider that Spark (Electricity) is all random hitting and not ordered at all, whilst Ice is ordered into a paticular fashion to form the Ice, and given the Devs have history where the description is not what was intended - they may end up changing the description instead of the effect. And given this can (in theory be argued both ways; description way and logical way), we can't be certain which one is the more likely one to be the one that ends up remaining after it is "fixed". So if you can, hold onto the Icefang (weapon) just in case you need to swtich back and don't have the materials needed to do a quick swap from the vendor.

And... Exactly as said, best to have held onto them just in case. It appears that this has now been fixed, and that Icefang is now providing Chaotic bypass as well. And Sparkfang is now applying Lawful.

Was just about to post that! Looks like this was stealth fixed (i didn't see it anywhere in the patch notes). I'm down a couple bone pickers but at least these are doing what they claim to now.
