if you avoid AotS tree, you are building a blaster warlock, Is there anything in 8 levels of cleric better than 5th cores in both SE and TS?

No idea. I assume the extra crit from going deep into the Cleric tree. So 19/1 or 18/2 would be better?
18/2 so you can get 5th warlock cores and 2 tiers of crit in cleric
Soul Eater 5th core alone gives 5% crit chance.
So I have got the character to level 15. 13 AOTS, 2 Cleric. Thing is, in Divine Disciple it seems to be bugged. On the bottom left core I can only select Emissary Light, and the bottom right core (meant to be level 20 core) I can only select Emissary Dark.
Even if I choose Emissary Dark I can only choose Divine Smiting 1. To choose Arcane Smiting 1 I need to go Emissary Light.
Except if I choose Emissary Light then the Arcane Smiting 1 says I need Emisary Dark.
So no matter which Emissary I go for, I can only select Divine Smiting 1.

Okay, so I tried something different. I selected both Emissary Dark and Emissary Light and then I was able to select Arcane Smiting 1 and 2. That doesnt seem right to me.
Even if I choose Emissary Dark I can only choose Divine Smiting 1. To choose Arcane Smiting 1 I need to go Emissary Light.
Except if I choose Emissary Light then the Arcane Smiting 1 says I need Emisary Dark.
So no matter which Emissary I go for, I can only select Divine Smiting 1.

Yeah I tried that and it worked. Which is just bizarre. So with only 2 levels of Cleric I have taken the level 1 core and the level 20 core.
This is a very unique tree, they are both level 1 cores, one dark and one light. You take light left to right and dark right to left, and no more than 6 total.
While the Cleric/AOTS build was powerful at low reaper, it was really just incredibly dull. I shoot my red blobs and and they do pretty good damage and I cast spells which dont seem to do much more damage.
So next up is going to be Bladeforged. I need a Dragon Lord life so just have to decide how many levels of Paladin and how many levels of Dragon Lord. Also, is it worth taking any other classes? Is 18/2 or 12/8 really any different?
I havent used my Sword of Shadows in a while so figure that could be what I go with. As much fun as SWF is, I think Im due a THF sword build.

I'm not an expert in the field, but DL seems like a self-sufficient class, has Imbue, trance, haste boost and whatnot.
So 18/2 str-based seems fine, maybe take a cleave from KotC.
Take Adamantine Body, unless you want evasion. Also lets you use fighter armor feats (Heavy Armor Master etc), if you have feats to spare.
