If you aren't going to run Crystal Cove, you need to put the festive gem of strength in another event please

I don't even care where. Put it in halloween, put it in christmas, put it directly into hell, but please put it somewhere because right now it's just completely inaccessible in the absolute worst way. I think Festives are really dumb, but they exist in the game, and if that's going to be the status quo, we should at least have an avenue to get them in a manner that isn't a rapidly seemingly deprecated event.

It's likely they're going to run crystal cove this year, probably late September (based off when they've run it for other recent years). They haven't said anything about not doing it this year; last years was skipped because of massive lag issues that were going on.

Massive lag was true but only one of the problems. Kobold pathing being destroyed and new loot needed are others.

I think it's more likely that we won't get cove this year than that we do.

I really don't think they're going to run Cove this year, and if you want my real opinion the reason it hasn't been run since the 64 bit transition is that it would require a refactoring/essentially a remake of the event itself, and it just isn't popular enough for that. Q4 this year has the hardcore-like event; They aren't going to run crystal cove at the same time as that.

The festive gem is like the only thing besides some okay loot that you cannot get literally anywhere else.

Edit: Notice that they haven't run mimic hunt, either. The reality people don't want to face is that, as the servers are now, they literally cannot run these events and it's becoming clear they aren't going to refactor them.

Fingers crossed we can at least get some turn in vendors for those that have dubbloons, gems, etc.

It is amusing to me that we have not had Cove, considering we literally tested Cormyr at Cove location. Clearly all the raid bosses and giant Cordo broke the area beyond repair.

This makes complete sense. Lag is already an issue with this event. Cheers to a lowbie running into CR36 spawns
