Less buffing / waiting and more action / playing, all buffs or songs that are single target, have a multi selector to cast on entire party or selected target. No more waiting, potions that last 3 mins make them stack, ad a multi drink selector drink XX amount each time you use it and the timer's ad up. Spells that last 3 mins same thing multi selector each time you cast, cast xx amount of times time on buffs stack. Don't see any reason to ever need to drink or eat food in taverns for HPs and spell points other than to slow the rhythm of the game down, make them things stack too each time i use drink 100 at a time i want it all back in 1 click. this might be a stretch but quests with a long dialog have a skip dialog option. in short do anything and everything you can to keep the Rythm of the game moving, not finding ways too slow it down.

The game comes from an RPG background and not a FPS one which is why you might be finding the pace of the game too slow for you. Officially it can be called a 'dungeon crawler' game, so right there it tells you it's not a speedfest.

As an old pen and paper player I find the pacing is just fine for what the games trying to recreate.

I see a plat sink idea here for more potent potions that last longer like a concentrate costing much more than say 3 potions that make up its timer.

Potion of blegh - 3min of blegh costs 10pp

Lasting Potion of blegh - 9 min of blegh costs 75pp

Concentrate of blegh - 20min of blegh costs 200pp

Considering the devs atm seem to be actively trying to get us to slow down (proposed changes for the next update, as well as basically saying we're completing quests faster than they'd like), I find your suggestions wishful and even slightly ironic.

However, I do agree that some things are annoyingly cumbersome (single target songs mainly, but to a lesser extent certain NPC actions/dialogues that take a long time with you standing around waiting for them to complete their scripts... I'm looking at you: Elminster in Beyond the Rift!)

Could bake bard songs being aoe into a higher level deal so it has a class level tax for its convenience

I've upvoted an idea like this before. I LOVE it, wish upon wish for it to happen, but like vryxnr said, it's doubtful. :(
I think it'd make a great plat sink.

Real men dont wait for buffs. Just zone in and zoom away. If you are that good you dont need the songs, buffs or pots anyway :)
You can go slow and buff, or you can go fast without buffs.

I do find having to buff a lot of different clickies and scrolls to be annoying, but it's just part of the trade off for MOAHHH POWAHHH!!!!! ?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️
