Agree with others. IOD has better quests, better explorer area and better gear.I was considering using the 30% discount on one of these, any thoughts? I have about 3k ddo points to spare.
Wow, nice! So you can advise what stuff from IoD I can use for 20-30 lvls range, right? You can't? Sadly...I think IoD is much better than 2x as good as saltmarsh! I wear >>2x more IoD gear than salt gear, spend >>2x more time in IoD quests, etc.
Next time you run together with my Goolock, pay attention what set bonus she have...I dont think Ive ever seen anyone(serious) wear more than 1 SM item and that has been the gold curse dagger 99%

It really depends on how much you feel like you have to do it right now. In about three months, both will be on sale for Black Friday.I was considering using the 30% discount on one of these, any thoughts? I have about 3k ddo points to spare.
Thinking in the long term, Saltmarsh is the better deal, it has more and more useful level ranges of equipment. In a couple of years, IoD legendary items are going to be the same as Drow items from Menace of The Underdark - skipped over while people level to 40.
Willing to wait, it's not like I haven't been doing just that. Caught some nice deals on Summer Sails because I'd built up points, just seems a shame to skip the 30% if they don't put up IoD after all.It really depends on how much you feel like you have to do it right now. So it depends on your purchase plans down the line. Saltmarsh, Dread, and now Vecna support upgrading in the cash shop. But if you buy the point version of stuff you don't get to upgrade (you'd just buy the cash version without any reduction in price). So if you're wanting to grab ultimate down the line then you might not want to spend the points, but if you're only planning to get the base cash version, the point one is likely a great way to go instead (as discounts on point expansions don't really happen much).Willing to wait, it's not like I haven't been doing just that. The fact that you can customize items is a big deal. It won’t be end game forever, but it will be excellent leveling gear for a along time. Legendary reincarnation is going to happen eventually. Might as well have nice gear for that hamster wheel.Thinking in the long term, Saltmarsh is the better deal, it has more and more useful level ranges of equipment. Other hand, buying SM with 30% discount save about 600 DDO point, buying IoD save 1200...Thinking in the long term, Saltmarsh is the better deal, it has more and more useful level ranges of equipment. why did u name urself that in forums? rofl... and u do realise i also still use salty in some stuff? its not overly bad. If u dont have IOD its pretty good for some builds.I dont think Ive ever seen anyone(serious) wear more than 1 SM item and that has been the gold curse dagger 99%
