A lot of the ultimate editions have been very poor for the expansions, unless you really REALLY like the cosmetics.
Isle of Dread did it well though. The functional bonus items are all very good and useful.
Tabaxi/Iconic - Yes. Tabaxi have great racial abilities and it's more past lives to collect.
Character Slot - Useless to me, but most people like them.
Teal - Is actually pretty strong, especially his heroic incarnation. It's always good to have at least one gold seal hireling - they are fantastically useful as lever pullers, floor pad standers, soul stone carriers. You never run out of them, and they can be summoned mid-dungeon.
Otto's Boxes - Everybody has a class they really don't like, and being able to skip some tedium is good. Very very few people are triple X completionists and have no need for a quick and easy past life. Plus, even without factoring in the stones, Otto's boxes come with useful other bonuses like astral shards.
Tome of Destiny - More Destiny points. I'll take 20 more of these, thanks!
Teleport item - This is actually surprisingly useful. It lets you get to IoD without needing to run the starter quest (if that's ever a concern), and your dropoff point is just a few steps away from a guild airship portal so it's very convenient to go from anywhere in the game to your airship with a minimum of fuss.
Mounts - If you don't already have an account-wide mount, it is really nice when hardcore league starts to be able to grab a full speed mount right away rather than spending time farming one in Borderlands.
Personally I also really love the pirate cosmetic coat. The other cosmetics are meh, but that coat is awesome to me.
I would definitely hold off on buying it until Black Friday or Christmas because there's a fairly high chance that it will go on sale. But this is one of the few ultimate packs that I can say is not a bad deal. Not like Vecna or Feywild which are just awful.
