Is it worth it?

I care about the Destiny Point, The clickie (Not as important but cool) and the Otto's Boxes. Do the ottos go on sale as well during that time?

I am also considering the Myth upgrade to Ultimate for the +3 racial, and character/shared bank space. The clickie again is nice but I have a horse and can just run there.

A lot of the ultimate editions have been very poor for the expansions, unless you really REALLY like the cosmetics.

Isle of Dread did it well though. The functional bonus items are all very good and useful.

Tabaxi/Iconic - Yes. Tabaxi have great racial abilities and it's more past lives to collect.
Character Slot - Useless to me, but most people like them.
Teal - Is actually pretty strong, especially his heroic incarnation. It's always good to have at least one gold seal hireling - they are fantastically useful as lever pullers, floor pad standers, soul stone carriers. You never run out of them, and they can be summoned mid-dungeon.
Otto's Boxes - Everybody has a class they really don't like, and being able to skip some tedium is good. Very very few people are triple X completionists and have no need for a quick and easy past life. Plus, even without factoring in the stones, Otto's boxes come with useful other bonuses like astral shards.
Tome of Destiny - More Destiny points. I'll take 20 more of these, thanks!
Teleport item - This is actually surprisingly useful. It lets you get to IoD without needing to run the starter quest (if that's ever a concern), and your dropoff point is just a few steps away from a guild airship portal so it's very convenient to go from anywhere in the game to your airship with a minimum of fuss.
Mounts - If you don't already have an account-wide mount, it is really nice when hardcore league starts to be able to grab a full speed mount right away rather than spending time farming one in Borderlands.

Personally I also really love the pirate cosmetic coat. The other cosmetics are meh, but that coat is awesome to me.

I would definitely hold off on buying it until Black Friday or Christmas because there's a fairly high chance that it will go on sale. But this is one of the few ultimate packs that I can say is not a bad deal. Not like Vecna or Feywild which are just awful.

Thanks for that. I kind of wonder that since Dread has the 2 ottos boxes in there, and they are likely to see ottos again in the store during black Friday, would they even put it on sale? I saw that last year there were ottos boxes on sale along with double bonus points. I want a few boxes to hold on for those past lives. I have 2 toons each with 5 lives on them. I may just wait and see. Would be sad if that didn't go on sale.

Otto's don't really ever go on sale...they aren't even a regular item in the store. They pop up from time to time but it's going to be full price (which is about $50 worth of store points).

Myth ultimate is...kinda iffy. The racial tome is not a special exclusive. It's not +1 Racial (Myth Drannor), it's +3 Racial, which means that it's just +1 over the standard +2 Racial tome. If you're really patient (and lucky), it's possible to get a +2 Racial tome from daily gold/silver rolls. I've personally gotten a +2 racial from a silver roll. When March rolls around, they will be offering a +2 -> +3 upgrade tome which should only be about 500-700 store points. The base racial tomes also do go on sale in the store and can be picked up comparatively cheaply.

Everyone values some of the bonuses differently. For me, extra character slots are completely pointless. I've gone through great effort recently to remove extra characters. I run with 1 main and 4 mules, and I have (I think) 17 total character slots. I definitely don't need more and the idea of spending real money to get more is distinctly offputting. But people who love to alt or are bigger packrats than I will see 2 character slots as a big bonus.

Or take the dimensional hireling folder. If you own a lot of gold seals or keep a stack of Mikayl the Pious for his D-Door, that folder can be a godsend for inventory management. For me, I already have a dimensional folder from the Saltmarsh ultimate, so getting a second one is a great big waste of money. Again, YMMV.

I would say it depends on how invested you are in the game - do you really enjoy playing? Do you love the content? If yes, the the expansion is one of the best to get the ultimate version of because Teal is one of the best gold seal companions- the lvl 32 version of her is very strong; the extra destiny point for all of the characters across all of your servers is also very strong. The fast travel item is also very nice to have, especially if you love the game and want to be able to warp around and get stuff done.

well I never buy any of the fluff, bonus stuff etc and P2W content. You just want access to the whole game, not cheezing character power. So I usually avoid spending money at all and try to buy expansions with in game points or when they go on sale. That is my philosophy anyway; I broke it by buying the lowest tier of MD recently since I was captivated by the beauty of it and wanted to show off my ability to drop the wilderness rares.

I think IoD is one of the best packs for cap play too as the gear is excellent and flexible.

IoD as an expansion is top notch. The ultimate just gets you the cosmetics and the hireling.

The hireling is not worth it. None of the paid hirelings are worth a damn. If you enjoy the cosmetics, then that is the only way to get them.

Dread is awesome. So is Feywild. So is Saltmarsh, and Sharn.

Just make sure you don't bother with DDO Points, else no permahires, no mounts, and no teleport.
-and no upgrade option if you "bought" any from DDO Store via points.

At Legendary level on Cormyr now and appreciating IoD a lot - so much I haven't explored and done since it was released, and all the bonuses have been helpful, including have a nice variety of mounts.

Whether it is worth it or not is based on your investment or playstyle. Lets be honest, this is a pay to win game and if that is how you want to play it then it is definitely worth buying as it does offer more power to your character. If you want to just play and have fun then I don't think it is worth it.

For me I have an account that has all the collector editions except for MD. I started buying them in the beginning and felt kind of locked in to keep getting them. MD and the state of the game is kind of crap right now so I didn't bother buying it.

Quick question for all of my more experienced players out there! Is the Isle of Dread: Ultimate Fan Bundle worth it? I like both of the mounts and cosmetics, but as a relatively new player, I'm not sure if the other items in the bundle are worth it. Side question, what does the "And More" include in the bundle? Thanks to y'all in advance! :)
Wait to see what Black Friday sales look like.

Here are things the ultimate version included that weren't included in standard or collectors:
  • Tabaxi Trailblazer (Iconic)
  • Cosmetics and Mount (there are 2 sets, I forget which was collectors and which was ultimate only)
  • Teal Hireling (Legendary version)
  • Teleport Item (<--- many would argue this is the "best" reason to buy the upgrade)
  • Improved Epic Ottos Box
  • Tome of Destiny (+1 Destiny Points)
The tome of destiny and improved epic stone are 10,490 pts worth of stuff. If you find value in any of the other items mentioned, then yes, it is worthwhile IMO.
I thought it was worth it for the Otto box and heroic teal is useful and the tome is nice. The mount is nice if you don’t have one.

Consider that the tomes that give the racial AP and Epic AP can only be gotten from the premium versions of some pacts. Over time, as a player collects several such benefits, it can be very substantial to any build. Especially considering that most premium bundled abilities are given at level "1".
