I don't understand why this is so difficult to understand.

Or maybe ya'll are so addicted you can't do it.

But the logical solution, rather than constantly whining and making the devs even more stressed than they are now, is to just..

Quit !

Quit until they bring on the 3 64-bit megaservers and we can all transfer there.

You want their attention?

Then Quit !

You want faster service, 64-bit servers to come online faster?

Then Quit !

Easy answer to this; why ya'll won't do it is very worrying (debilitating addiction).

You're like a guy standing up in an AA meeting telling everyone they're a bunch of worthless drunks before falling over and passed out.

Stop trying to analyze people you know nothing about over a few comments on a gaming forum.
You seem a bit triggered by comments that were not even inflammatory. Maybe have a cup of coffee or something.

There is nothing that could be said on these formus that would trigger me. But there are people that just shouldn't speak on certain subjects.
Which is a form of being triggered. You don't get to shout down what people think and say unless you are the owner of the medium for which they are saying it (and even if you are, it's pretty terrible). Say what you like, but understand you are indeed quite triggered by what another person has said to the point that you believe they shouldn't be allowed to say it for some reason.

folks have the inherent right to speak. if you find this difficult to digest maybe you need to timeout. Personally I find it unfortunate events have unfolded this way however my personal suspicion is that corporate decisions made during COVID2020 bit SSG in the *ss by late 2022.

And with that inmind to SSG: Please accept my humbled apologies if I said anything inappropriate whilst failing to understand why the complaints of the gaming experience had suddenly and very dramatically increased since early 2023

Well, I don't sub anymore and I certainly wouldn't spend points in a time like this. I play a little bit, but really not enough to even consider it "playing" and it is only to see how lag is doing.

Most likely I will stop having interest in checking and the game will go into the dustbin to which I "may" or "may not" return in the future. It took several years before I decided to give it a try again and I was actually looking to long term play this time, may be several more this time, if I ever return again.

If this were a sub/expansion game only, it might be different as might just watch and wait, but due to its excessive monetization (and issues with their implementations of such), the interest to return or "wait it out" doesn't seem worth it.

If whales keep whaling, how many players are actually on line doesn't matter. Heck, the fewer players on line the smaller the load on the servers.

As for non-whales, I only speak for myself when I say we have quietly quit long time ago.

I don't think the number of gamers has much impact. The lag will occur whether there are huge numbers or fewer gamers and I say that noting the lag was noticeable on a first-life running heyton's rest with very few gamers also playing.

And I have to congratulate the developers for creating a really optimized gaming experience back in 2008

No that was me. What's wrong with you? It's supposed to be ANONYMOUS!

I feel so violated . . .

On topic . . .

This game is trash right now. It barely runs 3-4 days after a reboot. I'm not even going to get into the predatory and possibly not legal in the EU loot practices.

If they don't get this corrected instead of updating code they'll need to update their resumes.
I think you are wrong to presume they want to be here for ever. As with all gaming industry jobs, most people are here to add a few things to their CV then get promoted via changing jobs. That's a gaming industry issue, not an SSG issue.

Very few gaming companies have long term employees.

I will say, about 10 years ago, before even MoTU, there was a signature "we are no more doomed than we were 10 years ago".
He was quoting me . . .

The game not running is the biggest DOOOOOOMMM!!!!!! of all. We can adapt to whatever hare-brained schemes are implemented into the game mechanics, you can't adapt to the game seizing completely and being unplayable.

Watch the latest Trollcast video, SOLOING in the harbor and seizing completely with a 9 ms ping time and no packet loss. I'd post a link but it's too vulgar for the forums.
