I personally knew SSG had BIG problems when I tried playing HC in 2023 and noticed...severe lag. In HC. SSGs premier product offering by 2023.

If I am right the ONLY possible solution is to allow ONLY new accounts on Cormyr whilst reverting back to the pre2020 model and...leaving the 32bit servers to continue struggling until everyone has moved over to the 64bit

It is usually the simplest solution.

They did not have the resources to dedicate to this until it became big enough of a problem for their higher ups to agree to fix it. They have told us the issue is bloat, aka people with a million past lives, not new accounts with zero items or data behind them, or potions that get used and cause little bloat. Now alt accounts do cause bloat, but not selling stuff in the store. Welcome to capitalism.

Game is already under performing financially. Could result in a pulled plug, depending on how long those servers take.

I've done a soft-quit, I log on each day for my daily roll and to check on lag.
Recently I'm online less than 10 minutes.
My intention is to do this until Wednesday's 64-bit launch, at which time I'll log on with fingers-crossed. :)

You can do it Team-SSG, we're rooting for ya!

I propose something more sneaky, unsubscribe, don't buy anything and just play as a premium. Same thing but you can still have fun doing it.

Within 10 minutes of Cormyr opening, someone took "Jeheira", a name I've had since 2006.
When the servers open, I assume that person gets the "-1" on their name?

playing on orien and amazingly smooth. So...the trick is to buy a new 64bit server...shut it down and...


suddenly everything is fine again :) (y)
